Herbie von Smalls Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 ten-man lyon for most of the match, wasn't it?
Bailo Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Also, it's Alain "Pompey's favourite" Perrin in charge there now isn't it?
Stevie H Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 elmander scored a 90th minute winner. kallstrom got sent off after half an hour and made a bit of a prat of himself.
The_MC Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 I was speaking to this French bloke from Paris the other day about this game. He says we'll batter them, and that lyon apparently arent what they used to be.Does anyone know what channel this game is being shown on?

kendo Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Moussa Sissoko, brother of our Momo? I seem to remember reading he had about ten brothers, one of whom was on trial at Bolton.

Maldini Posted August 13, 2007 Posted August 13, 2007 Moussa Sissoko, brother of our Momo? I seem to remember reading he had about ten brothers, one of whom was on trial at Bolton. He's not a brother no, one of Momo's brothers plays for West Brom, think that might be who you're thinking of.
Sion Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Pennant and Kewell not in the 19 man squad. Yossi, Crouch and Mascherano are.
Gilps Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Pennant must be playing against Chelsea at the weekend then
Ronnie Whelan Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 A good opportunity for Yossi to have a effective debut as I can see a pretty defensive Toulouse line up for tomorrow night. Perfect for that clever pass.
Bailo Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Pennant and Kewell not in the 19 man squad. Yossi, Crouch and Mascherano are.Leto and Lucas?

vish Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-f...00252-19626056/ "Harry Kewell will be out for another ten days after a slight tear in his thigh. It’s not a serious injury,” said Benitez."
jon_hall Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 come down misery a*** I probably will be since they were advertising the game on sunday on the bar.
IgPig Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-f...00252-19626056/ "Harry Kewell will be out for another ten days after a slight tear in his thigh. It’s not a serious injury,” said Benitez." This version of that article also adds "Jermaine Pennant has not travelled to France with the rest of the squad." at the end. Which is odd.
Kindred Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 This version of that article also adds "Jermaine Pennant has not travelled to France with the rest of the squad." at the end. Which is odd. I was wondering if it was maybe a little gentle reminder to watch his behaviour on the field after reacting to that challenge and getting booked. We have a pretty good disciplinary record generally and Rafa may want to remind him of his responsibilities to the team not to put himself in a position where he may get sent off. I think its likely that Benayoun will start anyway mind.
M4TTA Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 This version of that article also adds "Jermaine Pennant has not travelled to France with the rest of the squad." at the end. Which is odd. my 02 txt message said Pennant was being rested..
