Liverpool on Setanta - help needed

I subscribed this afternoon on line, nothing happening yet - do you have to have your phone hooked up to the sky box for them to get started?

phone them and get them to send another signal to the card

dunno but mine was - it took 10 minutes or so before the picture started. Shouldn't take that long.

 

Should just say I did it a week ago - not today

Tried calling and getting "we are experiencing heavy call volumes, please call back later". c****.

 

Even tried subscribing again via the phone but it picked up the original subscribtion made an hour ago.

 

Looks like a problem with their provisioning systems. Meh....

Ok, can anyone help me with this....i have sky downstairs but freeview upstairs, if i subscribed to setana would i be able to get reception on the freeview box and sky too? As i know you can just subscribe with freeview it doesnt have to be through sky.

 

I am going to contact them, but thought some bright spark on here might know!

Right, its just come on now.

 

I dont know if its related or not, but I went into the installer menu and tried a callback (system setup, then press 0 and 1, then select, then "New Installation"), kept coming back callback failed.

 

So took plug out of the back of box, held down the "back up" button ON THE DIGIBOX not the remote and then put the plug back in - keep finger on the "back up" button until "updating system software" appeared. THis takes about 10 mins.

 

Text went off screen after it had finished, the box rebooted, and service apparently provisioned.

 

Im starting to wonder if it had something to do with the callback facility not apparenty working, or if it was just by chance!

 

Oh yeah, and its in 4:3 not widescreen
