Kahnee Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 I was going to try resist Setanta, but it looks like the b******s are getting me at my weakest point. Same here May try and persuade Mrs K that she wants to pay for that as my birthday present
IgPig Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Same here May try and persuade Mrs K that she wants to pay for that as my birthday present I may not tell Mrs Post Kuytal Glow.
Kahnee Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 I may not tell Mrs Post Kuytal Glow. I'd try that, but if Mrs K found out I'd be in real poo. And I've only just managed to dig myself out of the last lot I dumped myself in...
Dee Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 what's the pros/cons between sky's package and setanta's???Setanta's is 9.99 a month for the sports channels
Kahnee Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 what's the pros/cons between sky's package and setanta's???Setanta's is 9.99 a month for the sports channels Is that all?
IgPig Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 (edited) Is that all? Its gone down. I checked a month back and it was £15 a month. That's 46 matches. Looking at the website there's no 12 month contract. what's the pros/cons between sky's package and setanta's???Setanta's is 9.99 a month for the sports channels If it works the same was as PPV Setanta games won't be as good. Us Vs the likes of Villa tended to be the ppv ones. Although the Derby has been ppv for the last few years, Edited July 4, 2007 by Post Kuytal Glow

whitewidow Posted July 4, 2007 Author Posted July 4, 2007 So Setanta gets you 46 live matches What do Sky, the Beeb and ITV? have on offer this season - important decisions to be made and only 1 and a half months to make them......
IgPig Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 So Setanta gets you 46 live matches What do Sky, the Beeb and ITV? have on offer this season - important decisions to be made and only 1 and a half months to make them...... Sky have everything else. Beeb have Linekar, Shearer, Hansen et al talking crap at midnight on a saturday night. And a few FA cup matches where they get to talk more crap. And John Motson, ITV have Heartbeat.
whitewidow Posted July 4, 2007 Author Posted July 4, 2007 Sky have everything else. Beeb have Linekar, Shearer, Hansen et al talking crap at midnight on a saturday night. And a few FA cup matches where they get to talk more crap. And John Motson, ITV have Heartbeat. Setanta and Sky for me then. Mrs WW will just have to enjoy another 10 months of me not pestering her....
Kahnee Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 http://gb.setanta.tv/gbpack.htm Why the f*** do I want to pay a tenner a month for seven channels I'm never going to watch? I mean, golf FFS...
IgPig Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Setanta and Sky for me then. Mrs WW will just have to enjoy another 10 months of me not pestering her.... One of the best things about the sky coverage, and something i suppose they'll be doing this season, is football first. You get to watch proper highlights (i.e. a good 50 minutes or so) of any of the days games at about 10pm. They also show a rerun of the days best match in full at about 8pm.
Falconhoof Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 What happened to the proposed Anfield TV? when was that proposed ? Its always been the line that club tv stations don't make money directly, which they don't.I'd like to see it happen for other reasons though, better coverage of youth and reserve games mainly, but also the idea that with the right marketing you could have a good go at turning a profit. I'd also like to see .tv doing podcasts of their interviews, as a better alternative to the flat text.
IgPig Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 Think George or Tom or maybe even Parry might have mentioned plans to set up an LFC station.
Cunny Posted July 4, 2007 Posted July 4, 2007 it's definitely in the pipeline.a friend of mine went for an accountancy job interview with Liverpool about 3 months ago. She was told they hoped to have the TV station up and running for the season coming. Didn't they advertise jobs for it as well?
