Harry Kewell has Ekbom Syndrome

This is a neurological disorder that produces a strong urge to move the legs ( ) The Man in the Street would know it as 'restless legs'. Apparently Harry has to rest his foot on a tower of cushions all night otherwise his legs twitch involuntarily.

Did Denilson have the same condition?

Shame it doesn't happen on the pitch

Thought it might get a comment like that...!

I get that when I'm tired, really f***s me off. Sometimes it results in a strange 'anxious' feeling in my leg and foot muscles.

Quite irritating.

My legs shake if they are not in the 'right' position. If i don't have enough leg room they go mad. Does my dads head in at the match.

Ok in bed like!!

You sleep with your Dad?

Don't know if it is the same thing but if I sit any length of time at my desk, I have to bang my heels, to send a vibration up my leg. Scares the s**t out of the office as its so quiet.

Milky drink and Sudafed

"That should sort you out" she said

As I kicked myself clean out of the bed

And raised my restless legs

Is that not 'grazed'?

Why do you have to send a vibration up your leg?

I'm sat at my desk now wondering if our new stadium will look like the Death Star whilst coming to terms with the departure of Luis and waiting for confirmation on Towers, but most importantly I'm worrying if I should be worried that my leg hasn't vibrated.

Oh and doing work of course.

ha ha, spat coffee all over my screen as that's exactly how I read it.

I actually suffer from that also. As I sit here typing this my legs are going like the clappers.

Harry Kewell can be one to address wider issues

Jul 4 2007

by Ben Thornley, Liverpool Daily Post

LIVERPOOL legend Ian Rush is urging Rafael Benitez to give winger Harry Kewell another season to prove his worth to the club.

With Fernando Torres’ £26.5m switch to Anfield almost finalised, the manager is now expected to turn his attention to Liverpool’s problematic flanks.

Rush, however, believes Kewell, who has just one year of his contract remaining, is ready to provide part of the solution.

Liverpool suffered for the former Leeds man’s absence last term, with John Arne Riise, Bolo Zenden and Mark Gonzalez all failing to convince in his absence.

The Australian, who made three substitute appearances for Liverpool at the tail end of the last campaign, was in fine form during his country’s win against Singapore last weekend, scoring one before creating another.

However, the player continues to be linked with a move away from Anfield, with both Aston Villa and Spurs registering an interest.

But Rush insists the 28-year-old will be desperate to justify the excitement his transfer first generated when Gerard Houllier paid £5m for his services in 2003.

“Liverpool have to be looking to compete for the title this season and to do that they will need to improve on their squad,” said Rush. “Torres will be a great signing but they still need one or two new faces.

“We need a defender and a right and left midfielder. Harry Kewell is coming back and if he stays fully fit it will be like having a new signing. He could be the answer.

“Benitez will be looking to increase competition for places, but if Liverpool can get Kewell fully fit it will be a big boost.

“There is talk about Kewell being sold but I think Harry will want to show to Liverpool’s supporters how good a player he really is.

“When I’ve spoken to him, he said he is looking forward to getting fit and showing the fans the real Harry Kewell.

“Now he’s had the chance to get himself fit – he’s had to come back from injury too soon in the past – he can do that.

“When he first came to Anfield, everyone was made up because he was a great signing. But obviously he has had problems with injuries.

“Playing in these games in Australia will certainly help and by the time the season starts he will be fully fit. “The Asia Cup is perfect for him – he’ll probably be fitter than anyone else when he returns.”
