if it had been from a dead ball i'd have believed it. but not with a flat front-face volley like that. but then that's the joy of virals.

The Mirror had an article on this in their sports pages today, along with a huge picture of the Manc squad in their new kit. Did my head in.

And he jogged the "50 yards" in five seconds. f*** the football, that boy should be in the Olympics.

Sky Sports News said 20 yards when showing it. Might be a typo on the link. Doesn't look that far.

Lovely how the ball spins perfectly so the last thing you see is the Nike logo.....

Reminds me of Tiger Woods chip on the 16th at the masters. That was for real, under immense pressure, and quite possibly the most perfect shot ever filmed. Especially when the Nike "swoosh" appeared perfectly as the ball sat on the edge of the cup.

I remember thinking "how f****** good is this bloke".

Then i noticed the "swoosh" was upside down. I mean how careless is that!!!!

Apparently with his second touch of the keepy-uppy he also managed to change the gravitational constant, G, so the ball floated down more slowly! Incredible! Even the laws of physics bow to the unbounded ability of Rooney!

Is he related to Chuck Norris by any chance?
