Flasher Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 (edited) I want him to sign, always have. Even more so now Garcia is off. Anyone else agree? Who would you suggest as replacement instead - Benayoun? We need a wizard of some kind. SiGn mOrE wIZaRds! Edited July 2, 2007 by Flasher
Smith Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 I want him to sign always have. Even more so now Garcia is off. Anyone else agree? Who would you suggest as replacement instead - Benayoun? We need a wizard of some kind. SiGn mOrE wIZaRds! I concur. We are desperately short in this category.
Gilps Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 I'd prefer Gandalf. If we end up with Rincewind, we should definitely sack Parry.
Kahnee Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 I'd love him to come here, but can't see it though - think Rafa would have gone for him before now if he wanted him And given our current youth policy, Harry Potter is the most likely wizard signing
Kahnee Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 If we end up with Rincewind, we should definitely sack Parry. Luggage could come in handy in midfield, though, and Twoflower would take a better team picture than we've seen over the past few years
surf Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Sign Sutty! We need more level 547 warriors to bolster the midfield.
chiefy Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 I want him to sign, always have. Even more so now Garcia is off. Anyone else agree? Who would you suggest as replacement instead - Benayoun? We need a wizard of some kind. SiGn mOrE wIZaRds!i was thinking just that watching the argies on tele the other night. I have a real feeling we will either get Aimar or Raul. Based on no evidence at all!!
casey Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Dont know though Rincewind always wins through in the end
Billy Dane Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 We've already got the Wizard of Oz, now he's fit he'll be like a new signing.
Paul_LFC Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 When Aimar is 86, people will still say we should sign him up!
Flasher Posted July 2, 2007 Author Posted July 2, 2007 When Aimar is 86, people will still say we should sign him up! Of course! Gandalf was still pulling up trees at the age of 500 year or so. Wizards live forever.
Mikey Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 When Aimar is 86, people will still say we should sign him up!He's not 'old' though is he, and for 4 or 5 years he was probably the best No 10 in world football. If he's still got it, or even 50% of it he could be outstanding in a top side for a couple of years yet. FWIW I don't think Rafa wants him.
The_MC Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Juan Mata looked like a good prospect for in the U-20 World Cup vs Uruguay. Spain came back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2. Mata has some great vision and eye for a deadly ball based on that performance. Never seen him play other than that, but iv heard he's quite highly rated.
Hassony Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 He's not 'old' though is he, and for 4 or 5 years he was probably the best No 10 in world football. he was never that
ManOfSteel Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 What about his Zaragoza teammate D'Allessandro? I remember being impressed with him at Portsmouth AND I know he can play on the left (Aimar probably can too, because he's good... you know, but I've actually seen D'Allessandro on the left before).
salkavalka Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 I want Aimar too, he almost came last year, but turn us down, and sign 4 years deal to Zaragosa, I dont think he will come.
wacko Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 Merlin for ref. As he lives backwards through time, he'll already have seen the video replays.
Frosty Jack Posted July 2, 2007 Posted July 2, 2007 I want Aimar too, he almost came last year, but turn us down, and sign 4 years deal to Zaragosa, I dont think he will come. Is that true? didn't realise, mustn't fancy the city, climate or lifestyle then.
