New York Red Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Has anyone seen him in action? I'm wondering whether he'll be a factor this season or whether he is just one for the future.
Michael Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 I have never seen him, but according to Tim Vickery he's not very good.
Sion Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 he is better than 50% of the players in the league Gonzalez Mk II then I'll wait till he plays for us before making predictions
Hassony Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Gonzalez Mk II then I'll wait till he plays for us before making predictions hopefully he willhave more heart than Gonzales who seemed to give up on his career at liverpool after few months
MFletcher Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 This is true. Vickery claims that Leto is nothing special and he's slightly bemused as to why we've made a move for him. If it means anything, he said Paletta would be poor. Although he rates Lucas very highly and expects him to do well here.

Guest Cardie Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Didn't make the Argentinean squad when it was picked solely from domestic based players. Wouldn't expect him to take the league by storm but as a reserve he might have some use.
Hassony Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 he is only on loan isn't he so its hardly a big gamble
RafaShanks Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 he is only on loan isn't he so its hardly a big gamble Didn't we pay £2m for him?
Spike Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 Nowhere near the player that Rafa et al will coach him to be
RafaShanks Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 If he turns out to be a Messi, I will buy an hat, sprinkle it with a dash of salt and pepper and then feckin eat it.
New York Red Posted June 29, 2007 Author Posted June 29, 2007 We seem to need to stop speculating on him for the left. Makes it all the more likely we'll sign Simao, Malouda or Mancini
Knox_Harrington Posted June 29, 2007 Posted June 29, 2007 We seem to need to stop speculating on him for the left. Makes it all the more likely we'll sign Simao, Malouda or ManciniWe'll be signing a wide player. He's a big lad who's scored a fair few from wide left and is getting regular games there. This much is clear on fydspedia. Vickery knows his onions so that's a little concerning but tall players who can play wide are always worth a look. I'd like to think both he and Hammill are worth bearing in mind when we discuss our options for the forthcoming season.

Rushian Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 (edited) If it means anything, he said Paletta would be poor. Although he rates Lucas very highly and expects him to do well here. He didn't say Paletta would be poor - he said it was too early in his development for him to move and he'd be better off playing regularly at River Plate (who wanted to sign him) than in our reserves. Knox_Harrington Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 Do you rate Hamill Knox? Not seen enough to make a wholly informed call. He looks to have the ability. But the point is he's done what's been asked of him. Gone and impressed on loan at a decent level culminating in being man of the match in the Scottish Cup Final against a team who made the last sixteen in Europe. He should be given at least a few pre-season games with the first team. I couldn't give a f*** about numbers of British players but I think it's important that lads who are from the area and have close ties to the club and who look to have a chance be given every chance. He could come on 10% for playing with better players and another 10% for coming out at Anfield with the first eleven. He'd understand the opportunity he'd been given and would be desperate to capitalise upon it.
Stevie H Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 leto has a left foot that can steal the halo off a saint. it can pick the pocket of an angel. you can shove your peeling a grape and opening a can up your a*se, this boy's left foot creates sistine chapels. his left foot is a WMD.
