The £300 gamble

Been exchanging emails with some girl in Russia for a while now. She says she really likes me and wants to come and stay with me for 2-3 weeks with view to seeing if we hit it off.

 

Of course I am highly sceptical, she claims she has to pay about US$700 to travel to and stay in Moscow to get a VISA to come over, and due to that cost wants me to buy the travel tickets. I have already made clear IF I did that I would physically buy them and mail them over.

 

There would be no real financial impact as I have a load of holiday vouchers I can use to book the flights which I won years back that I have never been bothered using.

 

So what pitfalls could there be?! She has made it clear she wants to settle down and start a family in England, but provided she is on a return trip for just 2-3 weeks what can go wrong?
