Dave W Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Im 24 and never went to college and University, didn't do particularly well at school, through lack of effort more than anything. I left school and started an NVQ in Business Admin and was placed at Capita, where I'm still working now. Worked in a few different departments, currently in payroll and I'm at supervisor level. I've got to the stage in my life, and career where I really want to make something of it., don't want to waste it in a job that isnt particularly well paid or rewarding. Trouble is most jobs these days require some kind of qualifications, Im not in a position to jack my job in and go to Uni but I'm more than happy to enroll in evening courses. Been doing a bit of reading up on Accountancy and it's starting to interest me. Not really sure of the best way to get into something like that. Is there any evening courses I could do or are there companies I could join who would put me through the training and exams etc? Any help or advice would be appreciated, perhaps someone has been in the same position as me and has a story to tell. Im prepared to work my boll*cks off to get myself a rewarding well paid job.
