all true; the angle I was coming from was how his goal tally should improve if we sign Torres or Heskey of 7 years ago, as opposed to someone like Eto or Owen

Kuyt will score more if he gets in the box more. The evidence is there is you look at Crouch. In his first season he got tons of praise for holding the ball up well and linking the play, but took ages to get off the mark and didn't score nearly enough because he played too deep. In his second season he got into the box more, got on the end of more and scored more.

 

If dirk is told to play in the box more instead of charging about in front of the back 4 then he'll score more goals.

i think dirk's gonna have a big season this year, hes adapted, will get better service and rafa will know how to get the best out of him having seen him play in his system fopr a year.
