England are going to face one of the most formiddable packs we've fielded in years. The all Sharks front row of Carstens, Smit and Botha dominated the fabled Bulls pack at scrum time during the Super 14. It gets bigger and more bruising after that with Bakkies, Matfield, Burger, Smith and Rossouw lining up. 5 forwards have been named on the bench, including Guthro Steenkamp and Pierre Spies.

If there's going to be a weakness in the Bok team, it'll be with Wynand Olivier at 13, or Ashwin Willemse who hasn't played test rugby in 2 years.

I think the depleted English are in for a hiding, despite the fact that Bloem is hardly a South African test rugby stronghold; their are still tickets available, something that would be unthinkable if they were playing at Ellis Park or Newlands - it won't matter. The bulk of the SA team comes from the two form teams in the Southern Hemisphere, the Sharks and Bulls which contested the Super 14 final in Durban a week ago.

South Africa 42 - 3 England.
