Can't imagine what you've all been (and are still going) through.

Keep staying strong and i wish you and your family all the success in finding Steve in the near future.

A very moving article. For what its worth, my thoughts are firmly with you. I can't imagine how hard this has been and must continue to be for you and your family.

Here's hoping Steve is home safe and well soon.

I was just thinking the other day Chris, about how bitter sweet this final would be for you, remembering your tales of Istanbul, keeping an eye on your little bro.

Just as Bigdave - I may too be going to Crete. In the Autumn it would be fore me. Not 100% sure yet, it's either Crete or Malta, will find out soon! But if I go to Crete, it goes without saying I'll take leaflets, posters, and do whatever else I can for you while I am there. Although the ideal thing would be is that Ste saves me the bother - and gets his skinny a*** back here before then :)

Very moving Chris and straight from the heart. My thoughts are with you all during the next few days of possible hysteria, and always mate, and i'll certainly raise a glass to his safe homecoming at some point.

Missing man?s family want fans to help

May 22 2007

by Luke Traynor, Liverpool Echo

Steve Cook, left, with Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez after the Champions League semi-final victory over Chelsea

THE family of a Liverpool fan who went missing while on holiday abroad today appealed for help ahead of the Reds Champions League final.

Steve Cook, 20, disappeared 18 months ago while with schoolfriends in Malia, Crete, and has not been seen since.

The Greek authorities have told his family to fear the worst, but they are refusing to give up hope.

Friends travelling to Athens for tomorrow?s final are taking posters of the Liverpool University student with them to post around the ancient capital.

Brother Chris told the ECHO: ?The last big match Steve and I watched together was Istanbul, and it was the maddest and greatest night of our lives.

?We hope Liverpool getting to the final again, and playing Milan for a second time, will potentially jog people?s memories and Steve will be watching the match somewhere.?

There have been a number of leads and possible sightings of Steve since August, 2005, but many have petered out.

Mr Cook, from Sandbach, Cheshire, vanished within hours of heading out for his first evening in the holiday resort.

He was last seen in a bar asking for directions to his hotel, and then walking off in the wrong direction.
