14 of my mates are flying out to Athens.. i couldn't possibly afford to go so while i drop 4 of them off tonight at JLA i will be waving them goodbye with a tear in my eye.. BUT i have managed to get rid of the Mrs for the night on Wednesday (she's staying with her ma as her arl fella's going to Athens!) so about 12 of us shud be partying at ours.. i've got half day Wednesday/full day Thursday booked off so i should be taking the tops off the cold bottles of ale by 2pm Wednesday arvo - i'll have City FM on in the background (they're running an Athens special from 2) and hopefully sitting off in the garden nursing my pre-match tension.. we'll have the flags out, there'll be a buffet, countless bottles of lager and a footy fkin carnival! i can't fkin wait!!!!!

what are you up to if you're not lucky enough to be going out??..

staying at home and watching it with the missus and the same two mates as the istanbul final, plus two congolese chelsea fans - one of whom is rooting for LFC.

The Um Bongos are on you then.

What time do you want us all round then?

Watching it in the same pub as I watched the second half of the Istanbul final with a big group of mates. Me and two others have watched all of the European campaign together this season with the exception of the first half away at Chelsea so its very important that the three of us are together!

Got Wednesday and Thursday off because I couldn't risk being called to a police station Wednesday afternoon. Will go to the pub about 3 and my panicking will steadily intensify.

I'm already debating when is too soon to start drinking on Wednesday

I'm working from home , I'm not working that day, I'm already struggling to concentrate, so on Wednesday what hope is there, so why pretend.

When is too early? 2 years ago, I was working, as in - proper job! So I finished at 5.30, then was home for about 6ish, so first drink wasn't till early evening. Now I'm gonna be in all day, although it may be a good idea to go out somewhere for a bit!

Bran come to Chorlton and spankered with Paddy, my goodself and whole host of fellow reds. I will taking my first pint at around the 3pm mark. Suitbly relaxed by time the game begins.

I will be drinking in the same pub I have watched all our previous rounds in.

I am breaking with the tradition of this years CL and going to the pub which I did for 2005, dunno how many will be around but everyone I spoke to thats non red will be routing for us - oh apart from the Italian bar man - so there should be a fair tuen out.

Like I care anyway - I will be well slurped and shouting my head off! :D

Tuesday is the best time to start drinking - nothing like a good run-up!

Bran - i'd actually booked the full day off Wednesday but i know for a fact that once i'm up and have pottered about the house for abit (and done a bit of cooking!) i'd wanna get on the lash! by the time people start getting to ours for 2:30ish i reckon i'd be on my way! so i've told work i'll come in half day til about 1pm and then get off - otherwise i'd be in a state whereby i won't remember the game.. at least this way i'll be around the same state as the others with starting at the same time!

if you are in the pub for 3, I will defo come down! But I don't know if I can stay for the game  But I'll meet you in the afternoon, cos I really need to not stay in all day, or I'll go mad(der). I'll give you a shout on Weds, to make sure you are out before I set off!

Going to Uptown 90 in Wan Chai, Hong Kong - not the best bar, heck its a Chinese bar (I can't speak Cantonese), but it was one of the places on May 25th 2005 that wasn't charging entrance fees and wasn't overflowing already at 10 pm (kick off at 2.45 am), so me and my friends went in and stayed the night.

Also went there on May 19th last season, and as it so happens, tradition has now stuck! I consider it my lucky bar - also wearing my blood bright red polo and beige shorts because that's what I wore on May 25th 2005 and May 19th 2006.

So c'mon you f***ing Reds!

Aye no worries. Will deffo be out at 3pm as Paddy finishes work about that time. So it will be a couple of beers in centre of Chorlton before moving to the Green.

Couldn't make this one,and I'm stuck in a hotel in Oxford working.

Should I stay in the hotel room and watch it here with a load of tinnies,or should I go out and find a pub to watch it in on my own?

Any ideas people?

Stay in the hotel and watch it on your own mate. No doubt if you went to the pub there would be some t*** who will annoy you.

I have a bottle of Dom Perignon that i have been saving for a special occasion. Im not saying that special occasion will be Wednesday because that would be ubermockerage.
