Gunga Din Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 i'm getting really nervous now, and still 5 days to the final. way worse than 2005 for me so far.
Flasher Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 I'm exploding already. It's rediculous. Ages yet..........
Guy_Incognito Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 I was fine. Thought I'd got away with it, but then I woke up at 4am yesterday and couldn't get to sleep for hours. Just constantly thinking about the game, and in particular Mascherano vs Kaka. It's bad, I know that, but I dunno if it's worse than Istanbul. I don't think I've ever experienced anything like the PMT for that.
Florist Cinema Pond Goal Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 I don't really seem to believe it's happening yet. 2 European Cup finals in 3 years doesn't really make sense. Once the 3rd/4th play off is over I'm sure the nerves will be through the roof.
Chewie Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 (edited) i'm getting really nervous now, and still 5 days to the final. way worse than 2005 for me so far. I logged on to start a thread about how the nerves were building and to ask if anyone else was starting to feel the same.... after the semis I was just so happy and content that we were through and that there was no danger of losing to the mancs...in a sense making the final was all I needed...even the prospect of defeat was one of defeat to a club like Milan and there's no shame in that... ...but now!!! just read an article on UEFA.com about gattuso and gerrard and there's butterflies...starting to feel it and all of a sudden the prospect of just competing isn't enough!!! it's only gonna get worse Chewie Edited May 18, 2007 by Chewie
Guest Snorky Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Cool calm and collected.............at the moment.
Stevie H Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 not even started yet. expecting it to kick in on monday.
matty Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 My stomach is in knots every time I see the word football. Much worse than Istanbul, when I was shocked that we'd got there, the fact that we were playing the match hardly seemed to register.
plonky Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Pretty good at the moment to be honest. Not expecting it to get anywhere near Istanbul levels
Alonso Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Quitely confident. I think our midfield (Alonso, Gerrard and Mascherano) will be enough to nulify theirs and give us that edge. Rafa won't becaught out again like he was in Istanbul. Once he knew how to contain them we beat them 3-0! Their strikers aren't a patch on what they had in Istanbul and their full backs are certainly a weak area. Ok Kaka seems to have gone up a level since then (god knows how!) and is the best player in the world but Rafa will know how to stop him (probably Mascherano on him). Crouch's presence will cause them problems at the back and with Kewell and Pennant working the wide areas where there will be space due to their narrow formation.
Conor Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Cool calm and collected.............at the moment. Me too to be perfectly honest. I don't know of it is confidence or it hasn't sunk in yet the magnitude of the game. Before the Chelsea games I was nervous for the whole week before it. Before the United AC game I was bricking it. I think had it been United in the Final I would be in bits. But so far so good. It's just great thinking that the FA cup has been over shadowed by us reaching Athens. That has kept me calm.
Andy @ Allerton Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 I'm at 0% at the moment - will likely increase if I make it to Athens on this Bulgarian train

IgPig Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 OK at the minute but veering between being very confident (and looking forward to getting ratted watching the match all night, then the parade all day as in 2005) and worried that we are going to get t******.
Boca Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 i'm getting really nervous now, and still 5 days to the final. way worse than 2005 for me so far. I was fine until I read your post in the Packing for Athens thread. Now I am absolutely s***ting myself about meeting you there.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Nothing so far. But then, my job's an utter c*** & takes all of my energy
Stevie H Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 I was fine until I read your post in the Packing for Athens thread. Now I am absolutely s***ting myself about meeting you there.it's the speedo, isn't it?
Paisley Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 I feel sick every time an advert comes on telly etc, so am trying to avoid it and not think about it until Wednesday.
Boca Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 it's the speedo, isn't it? Not so much the speedo, but the lack of other items of clothing to accompany it
cymrococh Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 I keep veering madly from confidence to terror. I was really confident last time and got incredibly low for the first half an hour. This time I can't see us losing in Europe, or in a final. But they are really really good.
smithdown Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Thought about the game for the first time this morning...bottle went. I'm not doing that again til about 7pm next Wednesday.
swano Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 Just watching last seasons FA cup final highlights on sky.... Stevie is due another wonder goal on wednesday.

Puskas Posted May 18, 2007 Posted May 18, 2007 At the moment I'm more worried about what state I'll be in for a job interview on Thursday morning at 9am.
