Bromage Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 As I clearly haven't a hope of a ticket for the final, I'm wondering whether anyone is planning on watching the match in London and if so, where? If there's enough interested we may be able to organise something.
BG Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Kings Head, Essex Road. Islington. Saw the second-leg there - that went ok so won't be changing - decent atmosphere too.
Gethin Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Kings Head was good but there wasn't that may of us (50 if that?). Anyone heard of any bigger venues? God I miss the ETB at times like this
psl Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 just emailed you through your profile peter. Any chance of the same e mail mate? Decided against the trip to Athens?
Tetti Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 (edited) I think there is Walkabout near Embankment which is offering free entry to all wearing red on the night. Temple it is. Was apparently very busy last time Edited May 15, 2007 by Tetti

Tetti Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Gee, how generous - a pub offering free entry And a fecking Walkabout. Surely only the crimally insane or the Antopodean would go there? My lovely Antipodean friend will be there.
Rico Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 I think there is Walkabout near Embankment which is offering free entry to all wearing red on the night. Temple it is. Was apparently very busy last time I think that's where I watched England's opening World Cup match last year - it was rammed. There was a queue of people outside hoping to be allowed in. Was good though.

Tetti Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Only time I've ever watched Liverpool there was the first half of the 2005 final. Not going back there... Get there for the second half then. "I said, if we score it will be different. And we scored and it was different."
Phil M (ET Crew) Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 I was in that Walkabout for the 2005 final. Rammed full of Reds, but had to get there early to get in. I thought the atmosphere was top notch, and as soon as we won the DJ played YNWA and We Are the Champions which caused a frenzied sing along! Still deciding whether to go back there this year.
Swan Red Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Gee, how generous - a pub offering free entry And a fecking Walkabout. Surely only the crimally insane or the Antopodean would go there? antipodean?

Guest Slimjim Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Still deciding whether to go back there this year. Likewise mate - atmosphere was great in there last time round. Was a pain in the a*** to get served though & the bouncers werent too friendly. Would defo advise anyone going to get there early. On a side note, wasn't it free entry on 2005?
cymrococh Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Why would you pay to get into a pub? F*ck ?atmosphere?, I just want to see the screen and drink.
sutty Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Why would you pay to get into a pub? F*ck ?atmosphere?, I just want to see the screen and drink. You going to watch it at home then?

Stevie H Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 Why would you pay to get into a pub? F*ck ?atmosphere?, I just want to see the screen and drink.a walkabout isn't even a pub. it's a student union full of shouting australians all vomiting up snakebite and black. f***ing horrrible places.
WillG Posted May 16, 2007 Posted May 16, 2007 The Alexander - Clapham Common A decent pint, lots of screens, plenty of Reds and maybe even a few Chelsea to take the p*ss out of as well. If you can't afford to go to Athens you could do a lot worse.
