Paul_LFC Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 I'm actually looking forward to this game. It should be a good game, and pretty tasty if any two footers are going in, on either Lampard or Ronaldo. I have a feeling Chelsea will do it, and I want them to do so.
Guest Snorky Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 (edited) I am at a wedding in Wigan and will no doubt miss it. Even though the grooms family are reds, there are bound to be some Mancs in the do especially on the night. I would not under no circumstances wind them up if Chelsea won it. SkippyjonJones Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 I'm off to a mancs house to watch it so I shall be cheering on Chelsea.
ManxRed Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 (edited) It'll boil down to who the most convincing divers are on the day. Chelsea should edge this with Robben, Drogba and ickle Joey Cole on top form. Chelsea to win by two pennos and a deflected free kick to one penno. EDIT: Oh, Robben's injured! This could be too close to call! Edited May 15, 2007 by ManxRed

ManxRed Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 Jeff was handing around bottles of Asti, and other people were on tables spraying it everywhere. It was a cracking night! I'll say hello for you.

Anyway, let's hope it pisses down for the Play-off Wembley investigates leaky roofRain pours through the leaky roofFans had to be moved to drier seats. Picture by Tim FuellWembley Stadium is investigating after fans got wet under a leaky roof at the new £800m venue. About 50 Supporters at Saturday's FA Trophy final had to be moved to different seats at the north London stadium because they were getting wet. A Wembley spokesman said the leak would not affect this Saturday's Manchester United versus Chelsea FA Cup final. Last week Wembley said it had to replace about 10,000 red seats as they had faded to pink in the sunshine. Tim Fuell, one of those who had to be moved during the game between Kidderminster and Stevenage, told BBC London: "It just got heavier and heavier. "It started torrenting down the back of the stand and down the stairwell. "We were able to move to spare seats but obviously they can't do that next week for the cup final or England v Brazil games that will be sell-outs." In a statement, Wembley Stadium said: "We are aware of a small number of fans getting wet this weekend and are looking into it. "We have been assured by experts that the problem can be rectified for Saturday's cup final." Stevenage beat Kidderminster 3-2 to lift the FA Trophy.
Nebraska Red Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 luckily, I will miss the match as I will be working on our neighborhood clean up project from 8am to 2pm. however, I think it is only right that we show some sympathy for poor old Maureen and his Chav mates as they struggle to rustle up a team for the final. Hilario lined up as reserve Cup final strikerTue 15 May, 02:16 PM LONDON (Reuters) - Chelsea are so short of players for Saturday's FA Cup final they may be forced to use goalkeeper Hilario as a substitute striker, manager Jose Mourinho said. Mourinho, who has spent millions to bring in new players but insists on working with a "manageable" size squad, said he was down to 15 fit men for the Wembley showdown with double-chasing Manchester United. Mourinho suffered his latest blow when midfielder John Obi Mikel was ruled out with a hamstring injury picked up in Sunday's final Premier League game, a 1-1 home draw with Everton. Michael Ballack, Andriy Shevchenko, Ricardo Carvalho, Arjen Robben and teenage striker Scott Sinclair were already definite absentees while fullback Ashley Cole is still doubtful. "Maybe if Ash is ready we have 15," Mourinho told Chelsea TV. "The reality is that for a final we do not have 16 players. It's not a good picture. "For the bench maybe Hilario, he's not bad as a forward, or I'll have to bring one of the kids in." Portuguese keeper Hilario, 31, joined the club last July and made 18 appearances between October and January - in goal - following injuries to Petr Cech and Carlo Cudicini. http://uk.sports.yahoo.com/15052007/2/phot...al-striker.html or, we could just laugh our a$$es off at the irony of him struggling to field a decent team having spent a gazillion quids on players.
Cobs Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 i'll be watching in Dublin with some manc friends i hope Chelsea win 10-0 at least Gary Neville's injured for it.
John am Rhein Posted May 15, 2007 Posted May 15, 2007 at least Gary Neville's injured for it. A Man U fan told me at the weekend that Gary Neville is no longer injured, but is just being frozen out by Alex Ferguson - apparently this due to a row they had in Lille. They reckon Neville has played virtually his last match for Man U with a token appearance in the 3rd place play-off or Charity Shield being the only chance of him playing again. If the're right he's going to be transferred before the end of the summer transfer window.
