good question really, it aint his fault he's been injured but it may slighty pish off a couple of players... but is he our best option for the left... yep:)

You know it's down to what is best for us, Harry Kewell, Riise or Zenden.

No doubt Kewell is the best option of the 3, only question is if he's fit enough.

Looks to be physically in the best shape he's been for ages...

If he's got 60 in him, it's a gamble whether you use it from the start and try to win the game, or keep him for 30+30 at the end when the pace of the game drops. At a guess I'd imagine it will be the latter and we'll aim to be in the game with 30 to go and go for the kill

To be honest, all our other options are absolute gash.

 

It all boils down to Rafa and whether he thinks he's in a good enough condition to play a huge part of the game.

 

He shocked all of us 2 years ago with his decision.

It's not necesarilly about stamina and lasting 90 minutes but having the sharpness and speed of movement and thought that is often lost for a short while after a long term injury. It takes some players a few games to get that back and we (Rafa) has to assess whether it's more useful having a less than 100% fit Kewell as opposed to a fresh and ready Zenden, Gonzalez etc

 

Although, if he starts and goes off injured Milan will s*** themselves

That's up to the manager to decide.

 

We have so many possibilities in terms of starting formations and line up (although I'd say 7/8 of 11 positions are certs) that it's pretty damn hard to predict how we'll start. Rafa threw everyone off by starting Zenden against Chelsea and Gerrard in the middle, nothing is a surprise anymore.

Your figures have a 12% margin of error, but the point still stands.

 

I'm sure Ancelloti and the Milan Right back would much rather see Zenden or Riise playing left midfield for us.

You could argue that kewell deserves his place in the team cause he's had a really hard time and has clearly been working really hard on getting fit this season when all the other players have been able to play without injuries ruining their seasons totally.. I don't know exactly which side of the fence i'll sit on however , I think that kewell looked very sharp for the pieces i saw him in today. If it is better for the teams chances that he starts on the 23rd then so be it. To me that is all that matters... not whether he 'deserves' a place cause he hasnt figured all season.
