That's insane. Barca picked a pretty strong team too - Puyol, Ronaldinho, Xavi, Iniesta, Eto'o, Zambrotta, Juily all played.

Watched the game and f*ck me Barca were abysmal. To say they didn't turn up would be an understatement.

 

It could have been five or six nil to Getafe - they missed a fair few chances in the first half before they got their first and more later in the game. You couldn't say there was a single Barca player who could hold his head up after the game, it was shameful for their part.

 

Getafe were brilliant though, they taught Barca a football lesson believe it or not, everything was passed on the floor. An amazing achievement for a little club which in it's history has only been in the top flight since 2004. Schuster has done a fantastic job there, and if Real were to sack Capello (which I still think would be idiotic whether they win La Liga or not) I think he'd be the best choice for them.

 

Guiza is a great little player for Getafe; a clever little forward and a brilliant finisher.

Barca need to seriously sort out their defence. Zambrotta is a great attacking player but his defending has never been his strong point. For me Puyol and Marquez have always been hugely overrated and they are a bit lightweight in midfield. Maybe if Ronaldinho and Messi start tracking back and help out in the defending they might look a little more solid.

Puyol I always think is a bit over-rated; he's a big pussy always throwing himself on the floor etc, and I hate it when defenders do that - they should be tough.

 

Marquez is a fabulous footballer but a little suspect defensively when he plays centre half - I prefer him in the holding role.

 

Barca need a Jamie Carragher; a destroying, all out defensive centre half to marshall their defence.
