[feck off, Poolfrog.]

Looking like the last time for Robbie to play in front of the Kop this weekend, and barring a late starring role in Athens, his last ever appearance for the club (wouldn't it be great for him to get the winner over there?)

if you are off this summer Robbie, i'd just like to say thanks for everything, the 4 minute hat-trick, the derby goals, stunners v Schmeichel both home and away, the beauties in the Finals of 2001, all the other goals, the line sniffing, the doCKers T-Shirt, the daft hair cuts, the noseband, the general pissing about and everything else you've done for the club and us fans over the past 14 yrs or so. Not always a perfect professional or role model but one helluva player, so often the shining light in some darker times. If it is to be goodbye i hope you get the chance to say goodbye properly this time and the fans can show their appreciation to you too.

:bye:

My second favourite Liverpool player of all time. In his prime an outstanding player. Hopefully he has one more goal in him and he gets it in Athens.

is that the chip mike? where he barges neville off the ball?

I have always loved the second goal in the first 4-3 against newcastle when he runs on to it and hammers it bottom corner and the 2 goals v villa when one he ran away from the ball and chested it and volleyed it top corner in a FA cup semi final and the other when he made staunton look daft and hammered it in

That goal V Villa, where he nutmegged Staunton with a backheel, collected the ball and smashed it in from 25 yards.

A couple of other memorable goals:

The second against Utd in December 95 where McManaman crosses, Fowler puts the defender on his ars*e and seals the win.

The winning goal in the 2nd 4-3 against Newcastle where he heads in from a cross from Stig.

robbie getting his toe end on a cross from Stan Collymore at a goodison derby, equalising with 3 mins left, not a great goal as such, but one that makes me smile!

All this talk of protesting at the weekend could have been put into proper use as to putting up a mosaic to robbie. A proper goodbye.

another incomparable effort was when he placed a casual overhead kick vs Charlton (away) last game of the season that clinched the CL spot in the Treble season

Looking back now, i think my favourite was his goal in the UEFA Cup final, maybe not his best technically but to come a few days after him sulking about after missing out in Cardiff and to be on the bench again - then when it looked like we were throwing away the trophy from a 3-1 lead we really need a moment of inspiration to lift the team and he gave us that, it was also a fine finish and showed what a skillfully 2-footed player he was.
