johngibo YPC Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 (edited) From the Daily Post today LFC said it would ?not be drawn into the numbers game? and say exactly how many tickets had been up for grabs in the computerised ballot, which was open to season ticket or fan card holders who had attended six or more of the team?s qualifying Champions League games this season If mods want to put this into another thread then fineI thought it was worth highlightingThey don't have something to hide do they? Oh and the Post also says there will be a protest on Sunday against UEFA!! linkhttp://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0100new...-name_page.html Edited May 10, 2007 by johngibo YPC
anny road Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 ha Sampara hasnt got one.....good and if he has booked four aways why wouldnt you put them on your fan card?
johngibo YPC Posted May 10, 2007 Author Posted May 10, 2007 Love this quote ?If we had been given more tickets, we would have happily made them available.? well thats big of them, isn't it
Rico Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 THOUSANDS of Liverpool FC season ticket holders have been left heartbroken after missing out on tickets to the Champions League final. Pff, not just ST holders, the poor loves.
JohnnyH Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Yeah, I ready what the thread title states and it really annoyed me that. We're the ones that keep this club alive so we deserve to know why this "numbers game" has left me without a f***ing ticket.
fyds Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Just on R5 that Liverpool have lodged a formal complaint with UEFA about ticket allocation.
jfogarty Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Just on R5 that Liverpool have lodged a formal complaint with UEFA about ticket allocation. A bit late in the day to be throwing shapes
JohnnyH Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Just on R5 that Liverpool have lodged a formal complaint with UEFA about ticket allocation. Posturing. Putting on a show for the affected fans.
fyds Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Makes no odds - what it boils down to is lots of expectant and hopeful fans, nothing remotely like a decent number of tickets for too small a stadium unless you happen to be a friend of the UEFA board.
Will Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 A bit late in the day to be throwing shapesCos you of course know when we lodged the complaint When would you like them to lodge the complaint? When we actually made our feelings known several weeks ago?
JohnnyH Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 When would you like them to lodge the complaint? ? Bordeaux away.
sutty Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Deflection happening big time... Shift the blame on to UEFA.
owenthomas Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 this may sound a bit stupid so forgive me for asking but i have a question about these fancards and allocation etc.. i've had a mad 7/10 days and i've been really out the loop as to what exactly's happened though i'm going to have a little look in a moment to get up to speed (and with all news in general).. Fancards - why were they brought out?Do season ticket holders have an option to buy one?
Boca Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Liverpool have complained about their ticket allocation for the UEFA Champions League final against Milan. The Reds have been awarded 17,000 seats for the game at the 63,000-capacity Olympic Stadium in Athens, and believe they are entitled to ask Uefa for more. Liverpool have been criticised by some of their own fans for their methods of distribution, with some having made arrangements to travel only to be told they will not qualify for a ticket. "The bottom line is that Uefa have not supplied anywhere near enough tickets for the Champions League Final," read a statement from the club. "Liverpool have expressed their disappointment and frustration to Uefa - but have been told categorically that no more tickets will be allocated to the club, not even the returned tickets from Milan - they will go into a Uefa ballot. "Liverpool Football Club understands and shares the disappointment of their fans in what is a very frustrating situation. "Our policy on tickets was available right from the start of the season and has not changed. "The ballot for Liverpool fans was drawn up to be as fair as possible to fans, but the bottom line is that Uefa have not supplied enough tickets for the match." Uefa, who has allocated 20,000 tickets to the 'Uefa family' and a further 9,000 via a ballot, insist the system is fair. "If we built a stadium with a million seats, the match would still sell out and supporters would not be able to see the pitch," Uefa spokesman William Gaillard told the Liverpool Echo. "It's impossible more will be released in the coming weeks - 17,000 is the final figure." Sly sports
Kopfaithful Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 all this uefa allocation stuff deflects from whatever corrupt f***up is going on with this ballot. this is purely smoke and mirrors to get fans to blame someone else. yes the alolocation is pitiful, but it doesn't account for the lack of succesful applicants from the ballot and the clubs refusal to say exactly how many tickets went into that ballot. supposedly the players are on 24 tickets each - that's f*cking 500 for the 1st team squad alone.
owenthomas Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 STs are fan cards? Season Tickets are classed as fan cards you mean? ok then, so anyone with a season ticket who's been to the 7 European games and any fan card holders who've been to the 7 games qualifies for a ticket then? At the beginning of the season (or each respective competition) do Liverpool say "if we get the final this is how you will get a ticket".. ?
sutty Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 ? At the beginning of the season (or each respective competition) do Liverpool say "if we get the final this is how you will get a ticket".. ? WHen you buy a ST, you get a fan card with it. It has a number, it has additional rights (aways etc) because it's an ST and you use the number to register ticket purchases and the loyalty accrues. There's nothing specific about the loyalty policy, other than the fact that it is competition specific.
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 Deflection happening big time... Shift the blame on to UEFA.it is ultimately UEFA's fault. For all finals, 90% of the tickets should go to the 2 sets of fans. It's not difficult. We could have shifted 100,000 tickets for this "If we built a stadium with a million seats, the match would still sell out and supporters would not be able to see the pitch," Uefa spokesman William Gaillard told the Liverpool Echo. Sly sportsstupidest comment ever

We could have shifted 100,000 tickets for this What percentage of tickets do the mancs and chelsea have for the fa cup? Bet it's lucky if it's 60%

We could have shifted 100,000 tickets for this Whilst that is largely correct, the lack of transparency in the ballot hasn't given those who failed a warm(er) feeling... If you knew the numbers there might be some consolation that things appeared to have been done fairly. That's certainly not the feeling at the moment!
Sir Tokyo Sexwale Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 exactly, there'll be loads of Mancs who won't get a ticket. It stinks, the clubs make the event, and the authorities treat it as their event & f*** the clubs (fans)
sutty Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 What percentage of tickets do the mancs and chelsea have for the fa cup? Bet it's lucky if it's 60% I think its about 50%
Redwire Posted May 10, 2007 Posted May 10, 2007 "Our policy on tickets was available right from the start of the season and has not changed. Lying tw*ts.

My brother has 6 credits plus the qualifier (which doesn't count) and missed out. Why doesn't the qualifier count? That's a game which real fans come out for
