First or second. We're in the final so can't lose the bet. Most places pay 1/2 odds if we lose...but we won't.

Half the odds to reach the final. I had a good night on Tuesday (as well as the obvious!) I had a couple of quid on Agger first and last goalscorer at 40-1 each so got £160 for those and then £165 for winning the semi.

I wish I had bothered to bet on these sort of medium to long term bets. I tend to just bet on the outcome of matches which are coming up that week. Best I've done was Baros to be top scorer a few years back.

They were crazy odds when you consider his record for the Czechs etc. The 33-1 for us was also barmy.

Had a flutter for us, but not early in the comp (wish I had). Got 15/2 after 1-0 down from the first leg v Chelsea. Stuck £100 on it.

I must point out that I also bet ?100 on us to win the league and a tenner on Kuyt to be top scorer in the CL so it's not all been rosy
