Zoob Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 coach for example? anyone heard of this as apossibility? Would take a couple of days - at least - to drive (assuming you're not going non-stop, which no coach would). Would be surprised if any one coach operator would do this.
Stevie H Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 take a bar job on rhodes. then ferry. go to afandou, ask for thassos.
aka Dus Posted May 3, 2007 Posted May 3, 2007 Upsalla, I booked through Cph direct with Sterling. Schedule means they are not coming back til Saturday (I am leaving Athens in a different direction so it didnt bother me) but maybe worth it? Got my one way flught for 700-odd DK.
R A Softlad Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 take a bar job on rhodes. then ferry. go to afandou, ask for thassos. You're so out of the loop mate, Thassos left three months back, Vasilis is is charge now.
downunder Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 This bus goes that way, but not actually to Greece http://www.ozbus.co.uk
Beardsley Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Rent a pedal boat. You can even bring a case of beer on the back and use the sea to cool them down. Excellent (in a Monty Burns voice).
sutty Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 I found a large number of incredibly cheap ways to get there but I chose to use far more expensive one.
Kop_90 Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Desperate to go as both me and my lad went in 2005.Son wants to go again but with flights at approx £650 each he is looking for ways to raise some of money to help out. A bit of help after he suggested selling off his Home (Kop) ticket stubs for the games in 2005, 2006 Aan this year. The only stub he is missing is PSV 1/4 final. Not sure if this is the right forum to ask. Should i allow him to sell such an important piece of history (as i have all the stubs as well), He wants to put them on ebay. How much would they go for (never seen a complete set of home tickets for 2005) as they do include 2 of the best nights in recent years Olympiakos and Chelsea. what do you think
dorgie Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 Personally I can't see how anyone would pay anything more than £50 for ticket stubs....but who knows ?
cymrococh Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 No idea how much ticket stubs go for, but any Red with money to spare will be spending it on Athens I would have thought..
charlie clown Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 have to agree with dorgie - really can't see anyone wanting to pay any kind of money for those. unique as they might be as a set, the chances of finding anyone who would want them all, and then finding anyone wanting to pay over the odds for something of no intrinsic value, is pretty small I would have thought.
Mike Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 get in the back of a greek truckers lorry and stow away.huyton red says that they're all up to it to get in to this country, robbing our dole money AND stealing our jobs. must be easy going the other way.

You could try here; http://www.zanteweb.co.uk/zante-transportation.php Have to admit, I am tempted to book a hol in Zante for that week and go over to Athens. Won't have a ticket for the game but at least I could mix with thousands of fellow reds before and after!
