paddyb Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 packages or are you making your own way any idea on who will be running a package trip been googling and not many packages, im sure they are waiting for tonights result
Reggie Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 I 'm hoping Milan get through cos if its Utd do, then the packages from Ireland will be crazy money. Thinking of going to Zakinthos for a week and pop over to Athens for the match. Getting a ticket will be a problem though.
sean Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 (edited) Waiting for packages. I'm in Spain on the 24th for the weekend, so I need to get from Athens to there somehow or get back early to Dublin to catch me other flight. I'm going. Somehow. Edited May 2, 2007 by sean
Scaryscouse Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Get a package trip to any of the Islands and get a boat to Athens. Crete is ages away on tthe boat however when you land at The port in Athens Piraeus I think it is you're really near the stadium. I reckon this route could be the best as while it's time consuming most people won't go for it because of this. If Utd qualify and you don't fancy hanging around Athens to much this is the way to go. Athens is like being in an African counrty it's mental.
dorgie Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Looks like it will be early next week before some of the travel agents know what, if anything, they have on offer. One agent said he won't touch it if its the Mancs in the final.
Tyler Posted May 2, 2007 Author Posted May 2, 2007 have got two quotes premier soccer - 1299 - no ticket included and ticket not guaranteed abbey travel - ticket included - 1999 if its milan3249 if its united both two night trips
JohnnyH Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Private jet and corporate seats. Realistically - I got a decent enough price with Celtic Horizons when going to istanbul on 2005. Around ?400 return with no acomodation.

JohnnyH Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 No, bought the ticket off a cocky chelsea fan who said "It's in the bag" when he knew he had us the semi. Be careful of Ray Tracy travel. They shafted a lot of Irish reds in 2005 when they got the news with a few days to go that the tickets they'd been promised were actually in the Milan end and so they cancelled the trips.
diggy Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Promised myself after Istanbul that I'd never miss a Euro final again, little did I know it was a round the corner (should never have doubted) Only chance of ticket is through a package but if its United they will be through the roof and probably mixed trips. Off to Italy for the week next week with the missus and fly back Saturday and onto Liverpool for the Charlton game A in and out job would do. Don't think the travel agents will have anything out till after tonights tie.
dorgie Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Abbey Travel are taking bookings at the prices that Tyler quoted above. You can book a trip based on the fact that it will be Milan (i.e. ?1999) and back out of it tomorrow if its the Mancs, at no cost to yourself. There's no backing out if it's Milan though.
Tyler Posted May 2, 2007 Author Posted May 2, 2007 diamond travel are taking bookings as well for 2,750 one night trip
sean Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Feck me it's expensive, but it has to be done. can we keep this info going bck and forth on this thread. Need to make a decision soon.

Benzo-13 Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 It is expensive.. Gonna be tough to get that money up but want to go to this badly.. Cracked up missing the Istanbul game as I'd got a chance of corporate tickets on the Tuesday but couldn't get there..

Maldini Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Celtic Horizons have no packages up yet, they'll have details on Friday. It seems like they've learnt how much of a demand there is from last time and are hiking their prices up accordingly. I won't be going if it's United, no way I'll be able to afford it. Oh yeah, and NOBODY go through Donnybrook Travel or any of their subsidiaries, thieving c*nts!
sean Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 I hope they don't get through tonight, for this reason alone, otherwise I don't care who we play. ?1500 approx. more expensive for Liverpool & Utd final.
Reggie Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Booked with Abbey. Can pull out if its Utd. No Xmas presents this year. Cmon you redmen.
diggy Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 A mate has booked a trip via Budapest, leaving Tuesday back Saturday with accomodation for ?700 odd plus tax. It was in a Travel agents in Dundalk. No ticket obviously. Cheap as I've seen.
