Chelsea FC Bosses On Missing Helicopter

Updated: 09:11, Wednesday May 02, 2007

Senior Chelsea FC officials are reported to be on board a private helicopter that has disappeared off radar screens.

It left John Lennon Airport in Liverpool last night and was heading to a private landing site near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, when it vanished.

A police spokeswoman said: "Details are sketchy at the moment.

"The helicopter, we believe, had about four or five people on board and was a twin-engine Squirrel.

"It left John Lennon Airport in Liverpool at about 11pm last night and was on its way to a private address near Peterborough.

"It appears to have disappeared off the radar. At the moment we are trying to find out more.

"The best case scenario is that it has made an emergency landing somewhere."

doesn't say that it has crashed and surely to goodness if anything had of happened family members would have reported people missing...let's hope nothing bad has happened...to report a crash is speculative and not helpful at the moment....

Conflicting reports all over

Radio just reported that Chelsea spokesman has said he's unaware of any

Chelsea officials involved in accident. Like I said unconfirmned reports

SSN reporting the Helicopter has crashed somewhere near Peterborough - no mention of any players being on board.

They report that they have this not from News Agency, but from the Police.

Sky News presenter just said "we mustn't make assumption it has crashed, there are just reports it disappeared from radar en-route to private address"

might be worth changing your breaking news banner to remove the "crash" bit then, until you know for sure.
