Phil236849 Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 suspect most after 2005 will be happy with 0-0. but i thought then that is a very dangerous score and it was very tight then. there again, we decided in the man yoo v roma thread that it is better than 2-1! on the negative side, we certainly do not want anything more than a 1 goal deficit. and a booking for drogba would be very nice, thank you very much (carra and agger take note)
honourablegeorge Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 4-0 win for us, Drogba, Terry and Lampard all beheaded by a Carragher sliding tackle, Carragher's red card rescinded on appeal.
Spike Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 20-0 to us. A result that we can hold on to in the second leg.
Bailo Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 20-0 to us. A result that we can hold on to in the second leg.Think we've established 0-0 is better than 0-20.
Nerik Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 If it is not a win then a draw with goals. 2-2 or 1-1 (the latter more possible).
Kahnee Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 4-0 win for us, Drogba, Terry and Lampard all beheaded by a Carragher sliding tackle, Carragher's red card rescinded on appeal. That'll do
Huyton_Red Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 Important that we score in my opinion I hope that IF he does play with one up front, then it is crouch. Hope he doesnt play Kuyt on his own up front but I think he will go 4-4-2 and attack like we did in the nou camp I think we will win 1-0 or 2-1
Gunga Din Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 i'd take a score draw now. 0-0 gives them an advantage. any score draw would be ok. but obviously, the best result would be a 2-1 defeat, as decided by some numpties on here a few weeks ago
Sheida V Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 I would take anything better than a 3 goal deficit... we are that good at Anfield.
anfield11 Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 Important that we score in my opinion I hope that IF he does play with one up front, then it is crouch. Hope he doesnt play Kuyt on his own up front but I think he will go 4-4-2 and attack like we did in the nou camp I think we will win 1-0 or 2-1 I agree, my gut feeling tells me that we are going to win.
Bailo Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 I'd take 0-0 right now. I think we're going to lose 1-0.
Gilps Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 I'd take the 2-1 defeat if we get the matching 7-1 win at Anfield. Failing that I'll be more tan happy with a score draw.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 I would be optimistic with a 1 goal deficit, two would be pushing it to be honest given Chelsea's strong defence and penchant for counter-attacking. That said, I think we are well capable of drawing, no doubt and a tenner of my money will be backing us at 10/3 to win !
McBain Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 Any result that makes Chelsea have to chase it at Anfield. the idea of us needing to force the play in the second leg would make me slightly pessimistic about our chances. It's not what we do best Score draw is perhaps the best we can hope for but Rafa's never seen us score at the Bridge I dont think. Hopefully that'll change this time
R A Softlad Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 I'd take a draw, preferably a 0-0 or a 2-2 but ideally we'd come away with a win.
Guest RedLegend Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 Obviously a win first but if we can't manage that a 1-1 or a 2-2 would suffice. Can't see there being that many goals so maybe a 1-1.
Tones Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 Id be delighted with a score draw. I can see us sneaking an win there even. Maybe we will get a bit of luck and lose 2 1.
Bootle Buck Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 (edited) I would take a 0-0 or preferably 1-1. However, I can't see many chances in Wednesday's game unless Carvalho is injured. If so I think Ferriera or Boulharouz could be there for the taking. We never seem to get anything out of our trips to Stamford Bridge. Edited April 23, 2007 by Bootle Buck
