genghis Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 (edited) I'm afraid I'm not posting this with a calm demeanour, but my blood's boiling about how the comments are going in this blog: more lies from those lovely people down the road Starts with the poster "jimmyjet" in the comments. Guy_Incognito Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 can someone report it? I can't as it tries to take me through a .mac setup
Snookie Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 (edited) Probably the most offensive comment is this: Boris Johnson suggested that the Liverpudlian mentality of victimhood was both childish and regressive. I am forced to agree and supplement these observations by expressing the fundamental distrust I have of anybody from Merseyside or it's surrounding areas. As an anthropologist, I consider myself well qualified to hypothesise as to the origins of the nefarious cultural traits of these people and believe the problem to lie in the Irish heritage to explain the criminal inclinations of this distasteful populace. I've taken it from a comment posted by some guy called FatalTrainCrash. Given his user-name and pithy, intelligent analysis, I'm sure he's a sensitive, much misunderstood poet who loves his mum. It is has to be said that it is not consistent with most of the other views expressed in the comments. For example, the final one is: Where are the moderators when you need them? Surely FTC deserves sanctioning for his scouse-baiting faux-intellectual drivel And if it is offensive (which I think it is) then this piece of offensive nonsense from a Liverpool fan is equally so: Assuming you can read something longer than a sentence, that wasn't prepared for you by Murdoch's rag, try this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillsborough_disaster Next time the police shove thousands of innocent fans, including women and kids into a cage to crush them to death, let's hope they're Man Utd fans eh? See how quick you are to throw your poisonous lies around then. Hey, maybe it might happen in Milan? Here's hoping! And you wonder why the expression "Anyone But United" exists. Paul B Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 Surely to god you knew there were people who felt this way? Don't get angry as that's what they want. You know the truth, the LITERAL truth; nothing will ever convince such people that their prejudices are unfounded.
Guest RedLegend Posted April 22, 2007 Posted April 22, 2007 "It seems to me typical of the Liverpudlian mentality in extending absolutely no sympathy to others in distress, wasting no time embelishing self-pity and wallowing in the so-called 'tragedies' of heysel and hillsborough which were chiefly the fault of the liverpudlians themselves. Boris Johnson suggested that the Liverpudlian mentality of victimhood was both childish and regressive. I am forced to agree and supplement these observations by expressing the fundamental distrust I have of anybody from Merseyside or it's surrounding areas. As an anthropologist, I consider myself well qualified to hypothesise as to the origins of the nefarious cultural traits of these people and believe the problem to lie in the Irish heritage to explain the criminal inclinations of this distasteful populace". Please tell me that the above is some kind of twisted pisstake?

JohnnyH Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 This fatal train crash lad is clearly on the wind up and people replying to him on the guardian website are just feeding his little game.
