Hello,

 

As this board seems to represent such a wide range of expertise, I though I would pitch a question here. Basically, I am about to cover my Boss' maternity cover for a period of just short of a year, and was wondering what I should aim for in terms of a pay rise. I know that I earn ?10,000 less than her, so should I expect:

 

a) Nothing

b) a percentage of the difference btween our salaries (if so, what kind of percentage?)

c) Her full package.

 

This in Ireland, in a hotel, if this makes any difference.

 

Any input greatly appreciated.
