Tosh Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 if he were one of his racehorses, he'd be retireed, out to stud or shot. It's getting painful to see. His brain is still functioning like it did 10 years ago but is about a week ahead of the rest of him As the commentator said as he came on... how many more times will we see RF play at Anfield for Liverpool?
Beardsley Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Yes, sorry to see him last night. Even thought he looked dis-interested in trying.Got one assist, though
Ed the Wool Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 I didn't notice him being bad to be honest. Some nice paassing and an assist for the goal.
Guest Anders Honoré Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 The pass for the goal was good. Pure striker's instinct knowing where Crouch ought to be in the box and putting it in. The rest showed good intent but sorry execution.
HK Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 I didn't notice him being bad to be honest. Some nice paassing and an assist for the goal.your glasses are truly tinted...
John am Rhein Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 'kinell, I don't like him but he did set the goal up
HK Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 'kinell, I don't like him but he did set the goal upDidn't change the fact that he had a poor game.
John am Rhein Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Didn't change the fact that he had a poor game. Yeah well, he's had a few of those
psl Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 (edited) He was poor last night. He'll end his career by scoring the winner against the Mancs in Athens in the lsat minute. Then he can retire happy. Edited April 12, 2007 by psl
fred Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 I wouldn't be surprised if he actually announced his retirement from LFC (if not from his playing career) before the end of the season. He said in just about every interview after rejoining that not having a proper send off from the fans bothered him the most about the way his first career ended...
Guest Prongsy Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Worst I've ever seen him play. Used so sparingly that he was never going to be sharp. Nice assist though.
Stevie H Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 robbie looked like a retired player appearing in a charity match last night. sad.
matty Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 It was nice to see two of Europe's greatest Ceremonial Strikers on display though. When Kluivert came on I wanted to party like it was 1996.

Leo No.8 Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 robbie looked like a retired player appearing in a charity match last night. sad. Exactly right. The football brain is still sharp as ever but the body is totally incapable of performing the required movements. If a pass was played a foot to either side he was struggling to get to it. At least we can give him a good send off at the end of the season, hopefully in Athens (as an unused sub!)...

Nerik Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Yeah he is looking increasingly over the hill. Pity as one can see what he hopes to do but he lacks the agility. Still we've had him back and he has scored 12 goals for us in little over a year.
Fagan Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 hes played hardly any football all season, can hardly expect him to come on and be as sharp as the others he did ok, he didnt do anything terrible give the lad a break
Stevie H Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 hes played hardly any football all season, can hardly expect him to come on and be as sharp as the others he did ok, he didnt do anything terrible give the lad a breakhe's been given a break by getting an extra year's contract. he's obviously f***ed.
Fagan Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 exactly, we all knew that so why would anyone expect him to perform otherwise last night?
Nebraska Red Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 he'll do well over here in the MLS, the pace of the game will be more suited to him. plus, they let the old strikers set up lawn chairs in the box, and provide a complimentary copy of USA Today.
fabfive Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Would have been nice if a few crosses came his way instead of to defenders.. Crouch might have been happier too.
Kvarme Ate My Food Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 f*** off you miserable b******s not like he cost us the game, was it? I'm always made up to watch him, s*** or otherwise I'll miss him when he's gone
Guest Cameron Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Yeah he didn't do much wrong in the game. I'm sure had a decent opportunity presented itself he would have buried it. He got an assist, that's more than what a few other players did.
