Many people where saying season over, and since then....

 

We look as if we have 3rd Secured, Beat Barca, CL Semi Final...

 

Bearing in mind the season isn't over for us yet, would you have taken this back in August?

I said on here (and you can check it out)......that we wouldnt challenge this year..I suspected we would get third but thought we would be nearer the leaders....

well I think I remember Arsene Wenger coming out and saying that although liverpool had a terrible week, going out of both cups in a week however that these things happens and you have to pick yourself up... or sometihna to that effect. What makes that interesting is that after empathising with us he was to feel the effects of a similar situation himself. Arsenals seasons colapsed in a very short time. Of course, of season wasnt over. It did take a lot of damage but we recovered and things have gove very well since then. Take the good with the bad I guess.. sing while you're winning.

 

and yes , i'd have taken this in august. However, I'm really hoping we can win the CL again. As great as the semis are, it is most likely that the CL will end up at an english club and if it isnt us then I'll be sick.

It's surprising that Arsenal allowed PSV to dump them out of the Champions League, considering that we never had any trouble with PSV, either in the group stage or the quarter finals.

Even if we win all our remaining games, we won't be able to reach last year's point tally.

 

what do you suggest be done about it?

 

That's for Rafa to figure out. But I'm sure he isn't happy with how the league has panned out either.

no way, like others have said, we were out of the title race too early.

 

our losses in both domestic cups were unacceptable and the result of poor decisions.

 

getting to the CL semis is fine, but i would much rather be in the title hunt at this stage of the season, if I had to choose only one.

Similar to us going out against Benfica last year: clearly the better team and best chances, poor finishing and a bad luck proving costly

I'd have taken 3rd and winning the CL back in August.

No.

 

The CL is just a cup after all.

I dont even know how many points were behind Utd at the moment, gave up counting weeks ago. :(
