When I was coming back from Tuesdays match I couldnt believe it when I read a notice in the Irish Independent that a member of another forum I use all the time died on Tuesday after a sudden illness.

To say I was stunned and couldnt breathe is an understatement. My initial reaction was to swear alot but the guy beide me looked scared so I had to calm down. Wanted to cry but nothing happened

The guy in question is called Peter Ryan. Peter is Mr Saint Patricks Athletic FC. Basically he somehow managed to know everyone that went to the games and he was always up for a massive session. We are due to play Galway United tomorrow the same day as the funeral which is going to bring with it floods of tears and emotions in the stand. Being the man he was he had no shortage of friends sending him flowers and wreaths. I reckon every club in the Eircom league will be represented as the league, St.Pats and inchicore was his life and he mixed with anybody who shaired his passion

I always liked him for who he was. He was a good looking guy but spent all his time helping St.Pats FC in any capacity - making flags, making up songs for leaflets, selling tickets etc. People dont get enough credit for that sort of work and with him being a funny and well liked guy I alway admired him for it as most young guys i know are lazy gits

On the terrace you really got to know the lad.Just like when he does be on the forum his wit was 2nd to none and he had us in tears laughing on many occasions

Unfortunately I never got to know the man aswell as I could have and im regretting that now and pretty upset about the whole thing.

Heres just an example of peoples reactions to his death
