looks like, for once, the old-40 point 'rule' may well come into play...

 

EDIT - Charlton are 3rd bottom & below are the teams finishing 3rd bottom in previous years

Man City are far from safe, they have away games to Arsenal and Spurs, and have to play MancUtd and us as well. They probably have the toughest run of those teams just above the relegation zone.

 

Sheff Utd's destiny are in their own hands really, as they have games against Charlton, Watford, West Ham, Villa, Newcastle and Wigan, all teams around that relegation scrap area!

 

I've not looked at the table for ages, didn't realise Villa had sunk so much.

The thing about 40 points was that was what you needed to guarantee staying up. If you posted what the the teams who finished fourth or fifth bottom got, it'd would be more instructive.

I predict West Ham will be relegated with 42 points. Again.

 

 

West Hams next three games include Arsenal and the Chavs. Be lucky to take a point from them.
