New York Red Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Who would make the biggest difference to us if we bought them, and why. Not someone who the new owners would veto because of cost (like Kaka, Ronaldinho and C. Ronaldo), but realistic purchases who would make a difference to us and not completely upset the continuity of the team.
Ramón Benítez Hernández Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Titus Bramble, Kevin Kilbane and Kieran Richardson.
Zoob Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Maybe using our war-chest we could buy Kaka, Ronaldinho and C. Ronaldo, and then to balance things up with a bit of realism, swoop for Titus Bramble, Kevin Kilbane and Kieran Richardson.
New York Red Posted March 24, 2007 Author Posted March 24, 2007 Titus Bramble, Kevin Kilbane and Kieran Richardson. You two are catatonic. Long night out on the razzle?
Zoob Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 (edited) You two are catatonic. Long night out on the razzle? Bramble plays like he's catatonic. Reality is that none of us really know how much money we have to spend. It's possible that we might be able to get someone like Eto'o, or maybe we'd go for Trezuget, who I imagine would be somewhat cheaper due to age / remaining contract (I think only 1 year left). Either way we are absolutely crying out for an out and out goal scorer; Crouch, Bellamy, Kuyt - all can assist and run lots and put loads of effort in, but we really need a consistent 15-20 goals a season striker. And we need a genius creative midfield player. A lot easier to find in Champ Manager than real life. In real life they're not cheap, not easy to find, if they're non British they may struggle to adapt. But imagine what a different team we would be if we had someone who scores / assists as much as C. Ronaldo, or Robben did in his first year at Chelsea... Edited March 24, 2007 by Zoob

My picks are Klose, Lahm and Alves.

I'd only buy him to sit him on the subs bench in the reserve team....dispicable excuse for a human being!!
_00_deathscar Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 I ask again. Why do you start a transfer thread every week NYR?
AnfieldCop Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 - Simao (LM) - Alves (RM/RB) - Villa (Striker)

KD07 Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Bloody old this. Let's start 'How Many Times Montse Gets it from Rafa in A Week'.
Guest JV Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 I ask again. Why do you start a transfer thread every week NYR?T'is like clock work.

I'd only buy him to sit him on the subs bench in the reserve team....dispicable excuse for a human being!! Yer jokin' aren't ya, lad? The lad my be a despicable c*** but he's f***ing brilliant and well on his way to being the best player in the world. We've been crying out for a player like him for years and years and no amount of diving would make me not want to sign him. But anyway, we're not here to discuss the merits of an inbred, Portuguese, gay boy, manc. I'd go for Danny Alves, that Nani lad looks a decent player from what I've seen and Eto'o, don't see the point in getting a left back even though Riise's a pain in the a***.

Mikey Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Read a paper in starbucks yesterday, Express or something I think, and Hicks was 'quoted' as saying that Rafa would have a 'large number' available for transfers this Summer but wouldn't specify exactly how much obviously. On these grounds I want AlvesQuaresmaEto'o
Leo No.8 Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 Alves Eto'oRibery And then Hicks and Gillett are bankrupt but we're happy...
Sion Posted March 24, 2007 Posted March 24, 2007 (edited) Alves Eto'oRibery That would be my dream for the summer, if we got them 3 it would just be awesome. Ribery is a bit too non-spanish and Eto'o probably won't leave Barca though Edited March 24, 2007 by Sion
