Armin_Tamzarian Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 I didn't know it had been confirmed? It's been obvious for a long time that they'd sell naming rights but I've not seen it confirmed anywhere?

The money you can bring in doing it makes its a no brainer.
Alonso Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 Tomorrow's edition should be interesting "TOMORROW PART TWO: Getting it right on the stadium". I wonder if it will give anymore info on who the sponsor will be?

I wonder if it will give anymore info on who the sponsor will be? We've probably barely negotiated yet let alone done a deal when a brick hasnt even been layed. Might be wrong though.

Might be wrong though.G & H may have a few names up their sleeves tho or maybe an idea of just one company they're interested in. These could be speculated in tomorrow's edition perhaps?
hideNseek Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 It was always going to be happen and rightly so. The money you can bring in doing it makes its a no brainer. Exactly. This day and age you don't turn down money.
melia Posted March 22, 2007 Posted March 22, 2007 It was always going to be happen and rightly so. The money you can bring in doing it makes its a no brainer. A no-brainer because players have to be paid way more than their value.A no-brainer because leeches on fat commissions have grossly inflated the transfer market. I am slowly falling out of love with this game.

It's been obvious for a long time that they'd sell naming rights but I've not seen it confirmed anywhere?Perhaps that's why the Echo hasnt received a letter of protest? Exactly. This day and age you don't turn down money.Let's sell out to the highest bidder. Probably American. Let's see ... we could have as our new home The Disney Stadium The Paris Hilton Stadium The Kentucky Fried Chicken Stadium

tomski Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 The Douglas Baader Anfield Stadium - to prove we don't need two legs to win! True, I'm also often legless at anfield too.
kacangpool Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Rather weird the manner Bascombe wrote himself (as a third person) into the article like that.
Guest Prongsy Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 I would expect something respectful for a sponsorship name, Hicks has turned down money in previous stadiums to keep with tradition and retain integrity. So don't just expect them to go with the highest bidder.
fyds Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 General Dynamics megadeaths Missile Corps it is then!

fyds Posted March 23, 2007 Posted March 23, 2007 Imagine if it was United Airlines - we could end up with 'United' on our shirts! That would confuse the septics even further!
