George Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 (edited) I am in Malta on the day of the away match (Mellieha to be precise) Could anyone recommend a pub or bar that will be showing it? Preferably one that might have other Reds in it! Edited March 20, 2007 by George
pawlu Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 The supporters club is in Mosta and there will be a good atmosphere there. Travelling might be a bit of a problem as there won't be any public transport available by the time the game ends. Anyway, drop me a line on pawlu_grech@yahoo.co.uk and we'll take it from there. CheersPaul
Nerik Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Hi George. As Pawlu told you the supporters club will be a good place to go. If you are not too keen on travelling far from Mellieha there will surely be a few bars/restaurants that will show the game. Two that come to mind are Cross Keys Bar/Restaurant and the pub in the Seabank Hotel.
Cheesecake Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 (edited) Quite the bump this - almost 11 years - but hey that's what the search results produced! I'm in Malta for a week in February, the week we play Southampton & Porto so looking for local info about places to watch the game, preferably in Valletta and places that wont have problems with a 10 yo in tow, time difference means the Porto game wont finish until just before 11pm local time. Would the Mosta place be suitable? Any recommendations for things to do/see/eateries are greatly welcome also! Edited January 31, 2018 by DPD1973
Zoob Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 I know nothing of Malta. But I was worried I was going senile since I had no memory of us being about to play PSV.

Cheesecake Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 if you ever, ever find yourself in possession of tickets for a game, please let me know so I can buy them from you ahead of time!

I was there in October, we seem to be huge with the locals, I saw loads of Liverpool jerseys everywhere. There are loads of Irish and British bars so you shouldn't have a problem finding the match on somewhere. I was staying over near St. Julian's Bay/Sliema so where I watched games would probably be a bit out of the way for you. Defintely go to the Lascaris War Rooms while you're there - https://www.lascariswarrooms.com/ Mdina is great as well, it's where they shot a lot of the King's Landing scenes in Game Of Thrones, there's a great view of the whole island from one of the bar/restaurant terraces
Gethin Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 It’s been years since I was there but I seem to remember there’s an LFC Supporters club with their own clubhouse/ official bar somewhere.
