Bailo Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 (edited) Good. Should have been when he made those stupid lineswoman comments. Doesn't surprise me he's gone today though, criticised the board on BBC Sport. Edited March 15, 2007 by Superdjibril
Flasher Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Good manager. It's a shame. All his best players have been sold and he's had no money to buy news ones with. He'll be a success somewhere else. Does need to watch his tongue a bit though, obviously.
forde Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 No surprise really with all the things he has been saying, but never like to see a red sacked!
R A Softlad Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Where does that leave Kevin Nicholls? Oops! I like Newell as a manager.
Guest Ross17 Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 He sold over £9 milllion worth of talent yet hardly had a penny to show for it, someone has to question where that money is going???
Nebraska Red Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 He sold over £9 milllion worth of talent yet hardly had a penny to show for it, someone has to question where that money is going??? it was all ploughed back into that ultra modern super stadium that they have.
Tones Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Good manager trying to do an impossible job. I like him too.
smithdown Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Was't it Luton that had the bright dea of supporters voting who should be the next manager by sending text messages in? Brilliant idea that, perfect for a sh*thouse town like Luton.
pipnasty Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 Was't it Luton that had the bright dea of supporters voting who should be the next manager by sending text messages in? No doubt they will f*** it up and some kid who has just come along to look at the ground will be asked to accept the position of manager.
R A Softlad Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Find out the number and lets all text Andy @ Allerton... as is the way in all good polls.
Rimbeux Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Good manager. It's a shame. All his best players have been sold and he's had no money to buy news ones with. He'll be a success somewhere else. Does need to watch his tongue a bit though, obviously. He's got his excuses in early and has been angling for the boot for aeons. He needs to realise or rather needs to accept and acknowledge that selling players to keep the club afloat is a fact of life for most football clubs. Anyone would think that each and every club above him are splashing the cash, but taking responsibility is hardly his thing, what with blaming defeats on the presence of a woman

I like Newell but you're absolutely correct.
Guest Ross17 Posted March 16, 2007 Posted March 16, 2007 Read this morning that Newell takes 10% cut of all transfer fees for players that he sells, how on earth can any club justify that?
