In aid of the Geoff Thomas Leukaemia fund. In July 2003 Geoff Thomas was diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukaemia and given three years to live.

 

The 1990 FA Cup Semi-Final Re-match: Crystal Palace v Liverpool - 20-03-2007

Following the success of last years FA Cup final re-match against Manchester United Crystal Palace have agreed to stage the semi-final of the same competition against Liverpool.

 

The game will take place at Selhurst Park on Tuesday 20th March, KO 7.45pm. Ian Wright, Mark Bright and Nigel Martin (to name but a few) have already agreed to play. Details of more players will be announced shortly.

 

Tickets are priced at £15 for adults and £5 for concessions. Please note that on matchday adult prices will rise to £20

The following players have agreed to dust off their boots and head to Selhurst Park for the re-match of the 1990 FA Cup Final:-

 

Palace:- Nigel Martyn, John Pemberton, Andy Gray, Andy Thorn, Phil Barber, Mark Bright, Alan Pardew, Dave Madden, Andy Woodman, Dougie Freedman, Gareth Southgate, Gavin Nebbling

 

Liverpool:- Ronnie Whelan, Jon Barnes, Steve Mcmanamon, Jon Durnin, Michael Thomas, Rob Jones, Jamie Rednapp, Mark Walters, Howard Gayle

 

 

Am hoping to go myself, support a good cause and a man who continues to fight a horrible disease.

First time I cried after a Liverpool game. I was 9 years old and the emotions of going through that game was just too much for me at the time.

(can't remember if we took the lead at 3 - 2 or them)

 

I remember Hansen being utterly cr@p in that game. Our one free kick was a well-orchestrated training maneuvre (Vennison scored it I think).

I'll be going as I live in South West London...looking forward to seeing the old boys turn out and it's ann excuse for a few mid-week beers.

I remember the traffic being horrendous so the coach dropped us off a mile or 2 away from the ground. Missed Rushie's opener as a result
