Gooner Spy Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 Hi All, I was wondering, given the huge extent of expertise that exists in this community, if anyone could give me some tips on how to start losing the spare tyre! Basically, I am at the bottom rung of fitmess - I am 28, and have approx 4-5 stone to lose. I was, until 5 weeks ago, a 20 a day smoker, and having seen my dad just come through triple heart bypass surgery, I am determined not to suffer the same fate! As you will gather, a trip up a set of steep stairs brings on heavy breath, which I feel shouldnt be the case for one so young....!!!!! So, where do I start? Healthy eating speaks for itself, but exercise wise? Should I just don my newly purchased running shoes and head off, or do I need to be more controlled? Any supplements out there gonna help me out? All advice gladly taken on board.
