I know it won`t matter til the close-season, but there hasn`t been a single word on what sort of transfer fund there`s gonna be.

It`d be good to know what sort of cash is available so we can be definite on the level of player we can bid for.

I think Rafa wasn't going to pin his hopes on transfers that may or may not have happened depending on the punishment. More opportunistic clubs got in first and G14 rules forbid a bidding war. Not really Rafa's style, anyway.

Au contraire - Hicks and Gillett both made it very clear there is no fixed budget - Rafa sorts out what and who he wants, then they do their part to make it happen. Hicks again hinted heavily the other day that Rafa would have whatever funds he needed without actually giving numbers. basically, they're not stupid.
