Madrid should be signing Europe's best young defenders like we have done with Agger and Man U with Vidic. Metzelder is a good player though and Gago seems very promising.

I think he'd be mad, personally. He's been building something for the long term here and it would be a shame if he left and was then sacked after a couple of seaasons at Madrid, which is often the norm.

They've got no chance - he knocked them back twice, and that was before new owners, money and a new stadium definitely being built. Rafa's not interested in circuses.

Every time I see Madrid Sergio Ramos looks the only player of theirs I'd really like us to have. Partly because he's the only one who looks like he gives a f*ck!

 

He's quality though - love the way he storms upfield when they are behind and almost always caused the opposition problems. He's got ability alright but he has heart as well.

Redondo was a brilliant footballer but suffered horribly from injuries; he actually requested Milan stop paying him towards the end of his career because he'd played so little for them which was a very noble gesture.

 

Gago should throw himself down the stairs if he wants to be like Redondo...
