Ombudsam Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 It was a joy to watch your defenders on the ball tonight and in the first leg. Such class!
Jimi Rojo Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Barcelona need some serious self-criticism at the moment - instad of know-it-alls coming on here to criticise our team. Barça are out.
John am Rhein Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 It was a joy to see those f*cking tw*ts knocked out!
Benitez Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 And they kept the wrong goalie. Valdes kicking makes Lehman's look good. Said it earlier, Reikjard is winging it at that club. He has the players, and boy does he have the players. But he didn't have much of a clue these 2 games up against Rafa.
Knox_Harrington Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Kept my peace first leg but there's no element of the game Puyol is better at than Carragher. He pings it around like he's Jan Molby but loads of those balls go astray whereas Carra knows his limitations and knows precisely how to defend. You don't do it simply by sticking your f***ing chest out. Spanish Gary Neville. But not quite as good. Finnan is as good as anyone on the planet apart from...to be fair...Zambrotta...in his position though.
Andy-oh-six Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Very nice to beat them. They were all over the place defensively and too many of their players are more intent on looking for freekicks and making pleading signals to the ref than using their talent.
Guest Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 For the first time in my life I agree with Sammya (must check my temperature) and I can now reveal that Ronaldingo is negotiating with Inter. He's off - thinks Rijkaard is the biggest dick since Luis Fernandez. Promised cetain people to keep my mouth shut until we knocked them out.
£440,000 Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Been listening to radio on the way home. Apparently Barca lost to a mediocre team because of two mistakes in the first game. w*****s. They managed to admit that we have awesome team spirit. It can't be that hard to admit that over the two games the right team won. The promised Barca onslaught never really happened tonight. Even after their goal we were the ones creating chances. Tonight the team were wonderful.
Ed the Wool Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Top gossip Pat.I'd have liked to have done them tonight again and we deserved it to be honest.I think you are right about the manager, he's out of his depth.

I watch La Liga as much as I can Fig, and Ronnie has'nt looked happy to me all season - not his usual sunny self at all. Not suprised then thats he's off. I wonder if this means that Eto'o will definately stay at Barca now? Edited March 6, 2007 by DonRafa
Guest Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 Tonight the team were wonderful. Totally agree Total love in fest - like watching Carly Simon live in Martha's Vineyard in 87 Oi - one of my S-I-L's - the artist is having an exhibition of some of her work in 'La Casa de Las Sirenas' in the centre from the 12 to 23 March. I have one of the posters for you. You get to go along and meet the Mafia. Await my phonhe call.

Looking forward to the exhibition.
Mr Makaveli Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 And they kept the wrong goalie. Valdes kicking makes Lehman's look good. Said it earlier, Reikjard is winging it at that club. He has the players, and boy does he have the players. But he didn't have much of a clue these 2 games up against Rafa. Reikjard is finished at barca and I will go further to say that he is finished in football too. Hate to say it, hoe he doesnt go overboard about it but he is just clueless.... maybe if he started in a lower league and works his way up, learning some thing about managment and tactics along the way.... but at the top flight he is done.

kacangpool Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 So did Cilla get her teeth? It'd be more difficult if he'd go to Inter ....

Guest Posted March 6, 2007 Posted March 6, 2007 And Eto'o ? From what the so-called people in the know are saying - he has offers from the Chavs and LFC I think if he leaves Barca he'll end up back at Madrid
CarraLegend Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 (edited) It was a joy to watch your defenders on the ball tonight and in the first leg. Such class! Haha quality post, dont you just love our players at the back who cant pass and are so inferior to Marquez, Puyol and co? Though to be fair no one on here actually takes either of them two blerts seriously anyway do they? They're both thick as s****. Edited March 7, 2007 by CarraLegend
intense enigma Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 (edited) I remember Barcamania saying something along the lines of 'man to man we're a inferior team to Barcelona in most parts of the pitch'. Imo, Barca were sh!!t over two legs and to be honest, i've seen league two sides defend a lot better than they have done, not just in this tie but, over the years and that's being complimentary. And to compare Puyol to Carra is the worst kind of insult that can be directed towards good ol Jamie. Oh, Oleguer makes Babb look like Baresi. And Barcamania, long may your sh!!t defence and decline continue. Edited March 7, 2007 by intense enigma
windy city red Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Barcamania's brillant post sometime ago and I didnt want to mention it until I had some ammunition. Really? Compare your players to rivals:Cech is better, Van Der Sar is better also and Lehmann is on par with ReinaBuolahruz, Neville, Ebue>FinnanGallas, Cole, Heinze>RiiseRio, Toure, Terry>CarragerCarvalho, Hyypia, Vidic>Djorou Makelele>Gilberto, Sissoko, CarrickEssien, Fabregas>Alonso>Fletcher etc. There's only 1 player who would play in all teams in EPL - Gerrard. In some teams Alonso, Carrager, Finnan and Kuyt will play or be on bench, others are average... Feel free to correct yourself with respect to the ones in bold.
Ahmed Dimwitson Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 A well deserved victory for Liverpool - Barca never looked dangerous and their 1-0 win yesterday was flattering them. 5-1 in LFC:s favour would give a right indication of this game - there is nothing to discuss in this tie and was certainely not decided by Valdes f***ing-up in the first game, Liverpool was better simple as. Cup games seem to suit Liverpool quite well for some reason, too bad for you though that they aren't able to take that form to the league.
