Without the ball i thought we were excellent, especially until the hour mark. With the ball, i think we created so many chances because of Barca's defence and their need to score goals but i don't think we kept possession well at all. Some of the passing was just infantile

 

Arbeloa continues to impress.

Finnan and Carra just fill me with so much pride it's not true.

Xabi was excellent.

Kuyt worked hard but his use of the ball was poor - dwelt on it too much.

Same for Gerrard and Sissoko.

 

A good result, especially after Saturday's heartbreak.

Two home games lost in a row

Relieved; we're through to the quarter finals

We played them off the park. They needed to score two and we kept them quiet for 70 minutes, having far the better chances ourselves. I'm almost disappointed at losing cause they didn't do enough to win the game and it's a blot on an otherwise impeccible home record.

 

Very proud of the lads, a hard tie to win and a still massive test after the first leg. We were by far the better team over the two games and deserved to go through. Hope we're rewarded with a favourable draw.

The 3 minutes after the scored were a bit tense but we kept playing when Barca thought we would sit back and try to hold on. The commentators on the telly make it seem worse than it is. Could have scored twice ourselves.
