Tevez is just a better Bellamy. Unless we plan to get rid of the current Bellamy it doesn't really make any sense. Excellent player but Bellamy's done more than enough to get another season.

Why Alves and Lennon? Both are right sided. Surely one or the other.

Bellamy is much more consistent and effective than Tevez in my opinion.

I'd ask for Alves, Villa and a top quality left sided player. Then we're ready to challenge.

eh one is a defender and one is an attacking midfielder!

Lennon has the creativity we need, he's a brilliant outlet and Tevez when used in his most suited position of striker he'll score goals

Lennon can play either side btw

I'll have:

Tevez

Daniel Alves

Lennon

I think that'll do it...

Not for me.

We need a goalscorer. Tevez wouldn't score anymore than Kuyt, Crouch or Bellamy. Maybe even less.

Alves and Lennon would be nice though.

would be able to think about a 433 with Lennon, Alves, Pennant to choose from for the RW

He's Crouch but much better.

Alves & Eto'o - about £40m the pair??

Final pieces in the jigsaw

:tumbleweed:

Plus we'd avoid the problem of bedding too many players in that has cost us these last 2 seasons.

Alves and Striker X (eto'o', villa, whatever) would do me.

If we could swoop for Ribery as well, it would be an outrageous summer of transfers.

and you've completely ignored our most gaping hole; the left wing

Stuart Downing would fit the bill for the left if we could prise him away from boro

Quite also fancy Doyle from Reading in a strikers role

Leg that fits the table an all that

A lot of this depends on which Kewell comes back

Totally agree with that. We don't half miss him. Can't think of any other left mids though.

I must say Dee that it'd be ridiculous for this football club to buy Alves to play right back when left back looks the way it does. Alves to play right midfield, right wing back and when against s**** at home right back, perhaps. Finnan has been our most consistant performer this season by some distance as well as being the best crosser of the ball at the club.

Eto'o before Villa but it would be lovely to be in that position of choice.

Didn't Alves play on the left when he first joined sevilla?

Alves

Bale

Villa/Huntelaar

That'll do - as we can't afford to buy too many players and end up spending a whole season bedding them in. Bale spends the 1st half of the season rotating with Riise before making the place his own and adding pace to the back. Alves gives us cover for Finnan and a 1st choice RM, Villa/Huntelaar are obviously the goalscorers - I like Klose but he doesn't have pace and I'd only get him if we've already bought another striker.

If we really wanted to we could then look at VDV to give us more creativity in the centre.
