Wireless broadband modem/router help

been having probs with my wireless broadband modem/router this week. Basically of the 3 lights on the modem (power, broadband line, and wireless link) 2 of them work (power, broadband line) but the wireless link this week has been giving problems.

 

My laptop has inbuilt wireless and its picking up the other connections in the street so that is working fine but its not pairing up with my modem (have tried rebooting the wireless by pulling the power plug out and putting it back in power, along with restarting the laptop to see if that works but to no avail).

 

It worked last night for about 20mins and then lost the link again with the router/modem. Im beginning to think now its faulty but does anyone have any suggestions at all?

 

(btw reinstall java etc are not valid responses )
