I am not surprised he is after strikers. I think Kuyt is safe but the rest should be a little be nervous. Fowler is gone and I think Crouch might be informed of Rafa's intentions and then be allowed decide his own future.

I dont think Rafa will kick him out the door but like Murphy & Hamann (I only think this may happen) Crouch will be told his opportunities will be limited and that it would be preferable if he stayed though management will not stand in his way if he wants to leave.

Only if Rafa's ideal transfer targets come

Not strictly a striker but I think Kaka will be our big signing this summer.

Don't ask me why, just have a feeling he will.

unless he gives in to 'the lure' of real madrid

Was the sale of Ronaldo to Milan seen as a 'Good-faith/down-payment/part-replacement' for Kaka ?

I listen to Graham Hunter alot on an Irish news station and he is sure that Madrid is where Kaka will end up this Summer.

Not normal of Rafa to name his targets, nor his talking ahead of the next game, nevermind predicting Liverpool will win the CL and our opponents..

All said to the same Italian paper.

This is quite fishy.

;)

As far as I know, the Corriere is the less-reputable of the two italian sports papers.

I'd imagine someone has asked him if he's interested in Trezereuget, and he's just said "we like lots of players...Bojinov, etc..."

Since the takeover the worry is that clubs will put ridiculous prices on any player we want to buy ,not that they didn't before but could be even worse now ,maybe rafa is just sending out a message that he has plenty of targets in mind ,if our offers aren't accepted we'll just move on to other options.

Miroslav Klose is the striker we should be going for.

I agree with you! He has proven himself in the Bundesliga and in International football for years now. I can see him being a big hit in England.

Thats me convinced then! :bleh:

But seriously, I think we'll make a big 'marquee' signing this summer.

The Yanks will want to make a statement of intent and a big signing like Kaka will go along way towards that.

I like the look of Bojinov. Not sure how much he'd cost, but he seems a good player to me. Trezeguet is a good finisher but I think Rafa wants more than that from his players. Plus isn't he getting on a bit now?
