Mr Makaveli Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 Not going to give out to the people who aren't happy however, I am very much looking forward to liverpools near and far future. I cant wait to play Barca. Is it a bad thing to be happy with a 3rd place finish this season? We have a very interesting summer to look forward to after this season , which by no means is over for us. Yes I was very disapointed not to win today but Im going to forget it and try to focus on the positives and they are clear to me. I think we all need to take it easy and try and look forward to our next game, in the largest stadium in all of europe, in the biggest and best club football competition there is. The defending champions play host to the previous years winners... lads it doesnt get much better than that... what makes it better is that as far as I know, we are the only non spanish team to EVER beat Barca at home in the CL... if this is wrong then Id like to know... anyway, smile everyone... think of the bitters****s, they have also had a fantastic season
Michael Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 It was actually in the UEFA cup semi final of 1976, but I completely agree with the rest of your post. I'm optimistic too, especially for next season.

Especially important for the impending Barca match.

stoger Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I'll be happy with 4th too. problem is yesterday put gooners back in the driving seat.
Guest Cardie Posted February 11, 2007 Posted February 11, 2007 I'd prefer to be happy with what is happening rather than what might happen.
