miceal Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Lots of huff and puff, but he's part of the problem.
CarraLegend Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Reina is f***ing crap aswell, Agger is absolute dogs****, infact we probably dont even have one good player at the minute and the manager is a total c***.
berdoing Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 We've lost two league games in three months. Grow up.
Murphman Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Part of the problem is people coming out with crap like that. He's arguably been our best player this year, definitely our best signing, FFS..
Guest Scot Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Lots of huff and puff, but he's part of the problem. Oh do sh*t up
JonShar Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 It's getting tedious reading s*** like this every time we don't win by 8 goals.

He's arguably been our best player this year, definitely our best signing, FFS..Sure the original post was over the top, but I do wish he would stand in the f***ing box for more than 3 minutes a game though. One of Rafa's DVDs on Trezeguet or Inzaghi wouldn't hurt.

CaptainXabi Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 What like Cisse you mean?I was never one who moaned about Cisse's laziness, only the fact that he didn't score enough for my liking. I think Kuyt would definitely add more to the team if he did less running around. Why? Because we don't need any more effort or tracking back, what we do need is more goals.

Guest Scot Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I agree with this, leave the midfield to do their bit and you get on the end of the product. Ian Rush worked harder than any striker we've had in my lifetime.
Guest Kev Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Ian Rush worked harder than any striker we've had in my lifetime. Across the park - yes. But I cannot remember tracking as often as Kuyt does. Robbie modelled himself on Rush, and he did the same. From what I remember their jobs was to stop the defenders giving an easy pass, if the defender found a midfielder then tough leave that to the midfield, not chase it like an excitable dog.

He's fine if he's paired with another who can mirror him: while he's tracking, the other gets in the box. Bellamy ought to perform that job.
Mascherano Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I think the problem is that we have two good second strikers in Kuyt and Bellamy. If we had a goalscorer, Dirk would be fine. Bellamy probably would too, but Rafa said he should have had three today. I like Bellamy as a player and I'm sure martin O Neill will make good use of him.
realtarragona Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Part of our problem is missing chances though and he does miss his fair share.

Bellamy ought to perform that job. I just want our strikers to be strikers and not labelled as 'Team Players' or 'Runs His Heart Out', did Kuyt do all this stuff in Holland ? I can't remember Bellamy being so ethusiastic for Blackburn or Newcastle. Crouch is just a nuisance.
Murphman Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Ian Rush worked harder than any striker we've had in my lifetime. Apart from Keegan who was from my and Kev's lifetime. Oh and Cisse was our leading goalscorer last year was he not. Still a lazy tempramental clunt played for himself a lot of the time, give me Kuyt any day.l
Guest kring Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 I agree with this, leave the midfield to do their bit and you get on the end of the product. Why buy Kuyt then?? This is what He's all about!! Rafa new that when he bought him, believe me!!
JonShar Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 Why buy Kuyt then?? This is what He's all about!! Rafa new that when he bought him, believe me!! Rafa, know what he's talking about? Give over! Feck me, some people still haven't figured out that Benitez doesn't favour a style where the strikers bag 30 goals a season. He wants them spread throughout the team, so we defend and attack as a unit. My god, he's been here for 3 years, haven't you some of you people figured this out yet? (Kring, this isn't directed at you by the way!)

You want want then? Players who are not team players? Like Cisse, presumably? How about we sign Diouf back?

Guz Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 You can still have a unit that has a goalscorer who bags most of the goals, i.e. 20+. We still have that but that doesnt mean the 3 main strikers we have at the club don't have a big part to play in the squad. I love Kuyt, think he's the dogs b******s at what he does but we still need another dimension upfront and have done so for about 3 years.
JonShar Posted February 10, 2007 Posted February 10, 2007 you're loopy if you think rafa doesn't want a striker who'll score 30 He'd love it if it wasn't at the expense of someone who could drop back into midfield when needed, or defend corners, etc.
