magneto Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 He limped off with a twisted ankle against Watford on the weekend. Is there any news this morning?

honourablegeorge Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 (edited) Doubt he'll play. 90 minutes of actual football hardly fits in with his retirement plans. Edited January 29, 2007 by honourablegeorge
Stevie H Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 hope he plays. bellamy can tear him a new one.
Swagger Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 i hope he's playing. he's normally good for a pen or something similar. Very true.
kacangpool Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 hope he plays. bellamy can tear him a new one. Hah
diggy Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Anyone see sky sports yesterday and the review show with Kamara and McCafferty? Jason McAteer and Don Hutchinson where on it and they discussed Lucas Neil turning done Liverpool. Both McAteer and Hutchinson said it was a money move and that looking back on his career he'll regret knocking back Liverpool as the bog clubs only come knocking once in a career. McAteer said he regreted leaving Liverpool when he did (as Warnock may do, according to him). He said that after leaving Liverpool, football became a job to him and felt like that for a long time after leaving.

Magic8Ball Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Like McAteer had a choice.thought you lot ( scousers) liked having people talk about how much they loved their time at Liverpool
Frosty Jack Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Like McAteer had a choice. Who did we buy with that £4m?
Hobbsie Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 the bog clubs only come knocking once in a career. Which league are W.C United in again?
Gomez Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Who did we buy with that £4m? Henchoz and half of Sami.
honourablegeorge Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Word on the grapevine is that the list of players Neill alluded to when giving his excuses includes Juan Riqueme.
Elisha_Scott Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Word on the grapevine is that the list of players Neill alluded to when giving his excuses includes Juan Riqueme. What do you mean?
Sion Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 What do you mean? Think he means the supposed list of players shown to Neill that West Ham wanted to get to make him more likely to sign.
diggy Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Word on the grapevine is that the list of players Neill alluded to when giving his excuses includes Juan Riqueme. Has he fallen out with Villareal or is he just injured? He was at the game with Real Madrid and Villareal on Saturday night? Commentator was making references to the crowd having banners pleading with him to stay, while he had his kids in Villareal scarfs and gear. Is he out of contract at year end?
Clay Davis Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Word on the grapevine is that the list of players Neill alluded to when giving his excuses includes Juan Riqueme.not being funny, but that would be the stupidest transfer in history.1. riquelme would most likely be s*** in england, given his style of play (time on ball, lazy etc.)2. the amount of top clubs (actual top clubs not little w***ing clubs with a bit of money because an egg takes over them for a while) that will be after him is unreal, which will almost certainly include inter - who will probably offer even more than west ham would, because they're stupid like that.3. he'd look at whats happened to his fellow countrymen.4. its west ham.

I heard a week ago that he'd fallen out with Villareal's manager and wanted to leave. I wonder if Rafa will show any interest. As for Lucash, SSN said he'll be out for two weeks, the mine dodging fecker.
Guest ritchie_50 Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Think he means the supposed list of players shown to Neill that West Ham wanted to get to make him more likely to sign. I thought Lucas Neill meant Mathew Upson, Callum Davenport and Nigel Quashie. And none of our lads would choose Curbs over Rafa

And none of our lads would choose Curbs over Rafa And the latest is Herman Hreidarrson (bid rejected today), one of the players who's playing like he's desperate to take Charlton down. They were also rejected by Smertin last week. When he said they had a "mind blowing" list of players, I can now see what he meant but im sure his 60k a week compensates for having a s*** team and going after s*** players.

Guest Scot Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 60k a week, and than he is free to leave in the summer when they are relegated, and he will be guaranteed to get the 60k for the remainder of his west ham contract he would have been mad to turn it down to be a bench warmer at liverpool Depends what motivates him.
Hassony Posted January 29, 2007 Posted January 29, 2007 Not reallybut you are a liverpool fan Neill is an average footballer who no one has heard of until he brokes carra's foot, and he just couldn't believe his luck that someone offered him 50k a week when he was probably on 10k at blackburn. and he probably realised that if he did go to liverpool he will be replaced by a better player in the summer anyway
