Clay Davis Posted January 23, 2007 Posted January 23, 2007 one of my best mates in uni whos a geordie just had a "heated discussion" with him about football. he said that newcastle had the best fans and that newcastle were "always better than liverpool" which then was retracted to "since the premiership started". i said that i could understand how some people would say newcastle had the best fans because they win f*** all but they still get good crowds and they are passionate. he said that liverpool had "s*** fans that weren't even from liverpool" and that "liverpool have no-one, just gerrard and reina whos from sociedad or somewhere and thats it". i explained to him that he was wrong (quite angrily) and that liverpool had won so much more than newcastle since the premiership began, and it was only for a year or two where newcastle could even be argued to be as good as or better than liverpool. i was passionate and he was passionate but the difference was - i was right and he was wrong. but other fans just don't seem to see sense. is it jealousy?
