No, not a rant about the fat baldy headed bitter but...

 

How did he get this gig in the first place? Was he the "Alan Shearer" of the time that Sky popped up - as in a well known centre forward who just happens to have retired? I can't think why else he got the job.

Wasn't his first TV gig as a captain on ITVs answer to a "Question of Sport" ? I seem to remember him having an annoying habit of groping any female members of his team to the tune of an even more annoying high pitched giggle.

There aren't many around to be fair. I like Niall Quinn but he has other commitments now. Alan Smith, Lawro - both s***. Pleat is painful to listen to sometimmes but is one of few commentators who try to look at the tactical side of the game, during the 90 minutes.

 

Graham Taylor is pretty good on 5Live.

I would rather Francis or Pleat yeah, they're annoying as hell, but that's just because they're idiots. Gray is always so pompous and snide. He always seems to have some talking point he wants to get across in every game just in case people have forgotten just how much he knows about football.

Andy Gray is utterly awful.

 

I always turn the sound down when I'm watching Sky

 

Their commentators are actually worse than the BBC and ITV (Which I also turn the sound down for)

I think they should charge more for commentators

 

They should just have the crowd noise on

 

Not sure how many tossers would pay the money
