I might be able to list one or two other players who may be just as good in each of those positions but none would be head and shoulder above those on the list.
Toni Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 see. we just need to add kaka ronaldinho and lahm to our team and we will conquer england and europe again.
RafaShanks Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 A team straight out of Kevin Keegan's wet-dreams I can see him emerging from the wilderness to manage that team.
Guest Anders Honoré Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Puyol shouldn't be in there. And a central midfield of cesc and kaka is enough to give anyone nightmares.
bazz Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 That can't be the team......sure there's no United player in it
tomasjj Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Puyol shouldn't be in there. And a central midfield of cesc and kaka is enough to give anyone nightmares. Agreed. Puyol is overrated, Marquez is better. Cesc not worthy of a place in that team by a distance.
Mono Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Was it really 2002 when every Irish person with internet access voted for Damien Duff on the UEFA team of the year?Seems like only yesterday.
jimmylibel Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Was it really 2002 when every Irish person with internet access voted for Damien Duff on the UEFA team of the year?Seems like only yesterday. Our lobby was strong back then.
Rory Fitzgerald Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 Was it really 2002 when every Irish person with internet access voted for Damien Duff on the UEFA team of the year?Seems like only yesterday. Given the powers of Damien Duff to walk on water back then, he didnt need our backing, Lennart Johansson begged him to be part of the team as without him the whole ideaology of a UEFA Team of the Year would be held up to ridicule and could of resulted in the marble pillars in the UEFA HQ stronghold crumbling around the bureaucrates ears. Duff is the messiah and I should know, I've followed a few (including Eeeeegor)
Guest spk Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 inivisible during his world cup and been injured for a bit lately - sorry but there is no way that henry should be in there over drogba. regardless of your personal feelings towards him and chelsea his goal tally is whats important and right now, with 21 goals to his name already this year, he's probably the best in europe.
G Richards Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 That team has a lot of great individuals but it doesn't look very balanced. There are 2-3 central defenders I could pick ahead of Puyol, and it seems like there needs to be a bit more steel in the midfield. The team would probably win most games 8-6 or something like that, so whoever said it was a Keegan team was spot on.
Magic8Ball Posted January 19, 2007 Posted January 19, 2007 so who are the best RM's ? and finally who are the RM's we stand a chance of getting ?
libero Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 so who are the best RM's ? and finally who are the RM's we stand a chance of getting ?Why do we need one when we have the best in europe??
Magic8Ball Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 Why do we need one when we have the best in europe??But he's not really a RM he's a CM
_00_deathscar Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 He's a RB, LB, RM, CM, DM, and AM..and he happens to be bloody good at RM.
John am Rhein Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 But he's not really a RM he's a CM He's not really a CM
Rimbeux Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 He's not really a CM What's this all about? Half a season spent filling in at RM and he's no longer capable or suited to playing orthodox CM, some kind of luxury player? Don't see it myself, more accurate to say he's not just a CM
Guest kring Posted January 20, 2007 Posted January 20, 2007 anybody think C. Ronaldo should be in there?? Or is that the forbiden words??
